LOCATION ! LOCATION ! “The Bath House” is a elegant free-standing cosy guestroom cottage with its own private access, set in a quiet and leafy garden.
Your will enter/exit via the back gate ( at the end of Clifton street). The whole rear section of the property will be for your exclusive use, including the charming garden patio ( with its fairy lights ceiling ).
You will be staying so close to many famous iconic landmarks including : Luna Park, The Harbour Bridge, the Opera House and Sydney’s CBD.
- Only 500m by foot from Waverton railway station (3 stops only from the CBD). The charming heritage classified Waverton train station is only 7 mins by foot (500m) partly via a pedestrian reserve which has stunning views of the CBD at night. . You find a real small village atmosphere around the station with buzzing cafes, restaurants and several shops.
- Parking is easy and free, with no limit on week-ends. A big plus so close to the CBD.
Mon-Fri free 2H limit 8:30am-6pm. + several no limit spots.
-Easy self check-in via a keysafe.
With this set up you will enjoy total privacy. Nevertheless If the occasion arises Chantal is always happy to introduce herself.
The space:
The main house was built in 1892, and is now part of the classified heritage area of Waverton . The property sits on a long narrow block with street access at either end. In 2018/19, two small independant dwellings were added at the rear in the same style of the main house. One of them is this separate self-contained bedroom with a beautiful self standing bath with brass finishes. Because of this unique feature we like to call the bedroom cottage “ The Bath House”.
John put his heart into the design of it, only choosing quality building materials and fittings. Chantal has decorated it with taste and personal touches.
We just added fairy lights above the patio.
Hopefully the result will make your stay enjoyable and memorable.
The neighbourhood:
Our quiet Waverton heritage area is a hidden green gem incredibly close to the CBD, yet we have kookaburras, parrots, blue tongue lizards, bush turkeys and possums. There are many small houses and tall trees on quiet hilly streets.
"The Bath House" is only a short stroll away from stunning water views at Lavender Bay and Luna Park to the East, and the Coal Loader in Balls Head reserve on the West. There is also a charming harbour-side park called Sawmillers Reserve 700m away which is ideal for picnics.
Getting around :
- MacMahons Point Ferry (1.7km)
- the Harbour Bridge stairs (2km)
- Circular Quay & Sydney CBD (4km)
- Sydney Opera House (4.5km).
-You can catch a ferry to the city via McMahons Pt Ferry Wharf (1.7km).
- Kirribilli/Milson’s Point train station is a 22 min walk (2km).
-North Sydney Train station is 1.2km away.
-The domestic airport is approximately 45 minutes from Waverton station.
Famous BEACHES:
Besides close smaller inner harbour beaches, beautiful Balmoral Beach is a 6.5km drive away.
For ocean famous beaches, Manly Beach is a 13km drive ( North/East of the Habour) , Bondi beach is also a 14km drive ( South/East of the Harbour).
If you are into golfing, lots of golf clubs around.

If REDUCED MOBILITY: Apologies. There are several garden stairs and a stand alone high sided bath. For your own comfort and safety, we do not advise booking this cottage. Thank you kindly for understanding.
No THIRD PARTY BOOKING : not accepted. The account booking has to be from one of the guests intending to stay. Contact the Host to discuss further.
