Amazing Stay with a surprise.
Stayed with my family (4) for 2 nights. April 2024.
Reading this amazing property to rent on VRBO, I was under the impression that we would have the entire place for ourselves. No where did it say that we would be staying alongside the owners so to our surprise when we came on the location and realization kicked in.
If you are aware of the following situation and it won’t bother you, then this stay was one of the best location someone visiting the prefecture of Fukui could ask for. Although far from Komatsu Airport & the Fukui City, it allowed my family & I to explore one of the most beautiful mountain roads & sceneries in Japan.
The place was close by to alot of popular historical places of the prefecture and very close to one of the biggest Dinosaur Museum & Research Center if that is the goal of your trip.
Blending in modern amenities with traditional & japanese countryside feelings, I felt very cozy while at the stay. For the first time since staying in Japan, we finally had a proper kitchen equipment to make food ourselves.
The owners are a couple can speak fluently english and were very easy going and welcoming. As we were mostly out during the day, they would still welcome us home at night then retreat in their own quarters later to give us all the privacy needed for the rest of the night. They also prepare a hot bath for us every night which was so thoughtful.
All in all, if you are aware and don’t mind living with the owners, I highly recommend this stay!
