The Space:
Sunset Retreat by Tiny Away is a peaceful tiny house located in Glan Devon, just an hour from Gympie, Queensland. Set in a grassy paddock with native trees, it offers distant views of South Nanango and the Bunya Mountains.
Wake up to sunrise over the misty hills, enjoy starry skies at night, and gather around the firepit at dusk. Close to Bunya Mountains, Goomeri Bakery, and the Nanango Markets, this is one of the coziest holiday homes for a quiet countryside escape.
A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, a kitchenette with cooking equipment, and an excellent bathroom with a cassette toilet and removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We are set on a farm, you may hear some animal and farmyard noise during your stay. Children are welcome but must be closely supervised, especially around farm animals.
Guest Access:
Guests can access the tiny home and its surroundings, except for the main house, veranda, and fenced dog compound.
Preorders are available with 24 hrs notice
- We have lots of timber available by prior request
- We have farm-fresh eggs available by prior request
- Vegetable farm tours and pick-your-own vegetables are available by prior request
Nearby shops such as Orchy's Fruit Shop in Nanango offer home-cured bacon, ham, or sausages from the Gourmet Butchery in Kingaroy, as well as local milk, yogurt, butter, and bread.

Enjoy local pastries at Goomeri Bakery, visit Nanango Markets (first Saturday monthly), and sample wine and platters at Clovelly Estate. Explore the Bunya Mountains for stunning views and great food, or head to Mt. Stanley Road for fishing, cycling, and river spots.

By car:

By public transport:
The nearest train is at Gympie North 1 hr 32mins, no public transport, a daily early morning Purser's bus to Caboolture which is 2 hrs from Nanango, and one which returns in the evening from the Caboolture railway station, with local taxi service available.
Other Things to Note:
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- WiFi is available and password sent prior booking
- No smoking allowed inside; only in designated areas
- We ask guests to EXERCISE CAUTION AS THERE IS A DAM on-site
- We have 2 Boxer dogs kept in the main house or in the fenced compound
- Full farm guidelines will be sent before your stay – please ensure you follow them
- Given the farm setting, children are welcome under CLOSE ADULT SUPERVISION
- We have a large chicken coup, veggie gardens, fruit trees, free-range guinea fowl, wallabies, and birds on-site
- Pets are allowed by 24 hrs prior notice, and must be on leash at all times. The full policy will be sent before arrival.
Important note:
- Outdoor fire pit is not available during the fire season
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
