Nice, unusual place
The property was clean, airy (high ceilings) and light, and comfortably furnished. The kitchen, particularly was well furnished. There were five of us staying there, and there were no complaints about the rooms or the beds. There were three things that set this apartment apart. The first was the game room, which provided hours of enjoyment just relaxing (although the foosball table needs repairing). The second was the space overall. It is clearly a building designed for another purpose (office, I would guess) converted into apartments. This made the space unusual and interesting, and required a good amount of creativity in design. Finally, the neighborhood was interesting. We walked a lot of the time, really only to the south, where the museums and points of historical interest were, but you could see that the neighborhood is gentrifying, making it an interesting place to be situated. There was a wide variety of types of businesses and residences in the area, and, with the SEPTA station just a few blocks away, it was easy to get to places further than you may want to walk. Importantly, the hosts were very helpful. They provided all the necessary information well in advance, and responded rapidly to the few questions we had. All in all, I would definitely recommend The Urban Haven!
