Our stay was comfortable - good beds, showers and cooking facilities and the renovation has been well done. The small problem (buckling?) with the floor did not bother us. There were sunny patches to eat breakfast in. The sandpit would have been a hit with our grandchildren if they had been with us and likewise we would have enjoyed the pleasant outdoor areas if it had been warmer. However it was more expensive for 3 people than most of our stays through the South Island.
