The pictures don’t do this place justice. It’s set in a beautiful, private location. The Bach was clean and tidy, very well looked after. Perfect location for you and your partner and if you can’t find a baby sitter the kids too. Would definitely recommend
Such a lovely spot, so close to the water! The stairs are tough but it's worth the sweat. Private and secluded. Not luxurious but everything you need is there including 2 kayaks. A few amazing walks like Te Whara Loop are only half an hour away.
Good location although it was never mentioned that we would be looking directly at a power station which was ugly. The floors in the property were treacherous and both my kids and myself slipped over on the floors. Why would you put slippery tiles in a cabin next to the beach? The place was not aired and smelt bad and one of the bedrooms we had to wash down the walls with disinfectant as it stank. In the same bedroom when it rained the rain dripped directly onto the bed.
Thanks for your feedback and we are sorry that your stay at the bach wasn't as expected. The bach is across the harbour from One Tree Point with the Port and the stacks from the Marsden Oil Refinery visible further up the harbour. We were unaware that the tiles in the bach were slippery or that the bedroom roof dripped during a storm, thanks for letting us know. We do regularly air, clean and maintain the bach between guest visits and sorry you found this otherwise.
