Description

  • 4 kms of spectacular, private coastline with unique limestone landscape like nowhere else.
  • 1000 acre farm borded by the Tasman Sea & Kahurangi National Park to explore.
  • Breakfast or barbecue on the veranda while watching the light change in the bluffs.

Te Hapu is remote and private. It starts where the road ends. Miles of spectacular coastline and a 1000 acre farm for you to explore and enjoy, with many beaches, a luxuriant low tide rock shelf, pancake rocks, blow holes and caves.

Our Shearing Shed Retreat is situated by itself at the head of a valley on our property and looks out over farm land and native bush to limestone bluffs on the skyline. Take the fishing rod for a short walk/drive down the valley (5-10 minutes) to a beautiful sandy beach.

The Retreat is cosy, comfortable and clean. It has a spacious, open plan, fully equipped living and kitchen area, with a wood range for cooking, heating and hot water (fire wood supplied), plus gas rings for cooking, a gas fridge and solar powered lighting. Enclosed in a garden setting is a huge old fashioned outdoor bath with tapped hot water.

Special conditions: Smoking allowed outside only. Pets by prior approval only. ***From the 18th of December 2017 until the 11th of January 2018 we have a 5 night minimum requirement.

  • We loved this place even though it was not luxury

We loved this place even though it was not luxury. It was a good experience not to have everything just available as we are used to: For a hot shower we needed to fire the oven first. The cottage was very clean and the flowers were just gorgeous! Thanks a lot for the hospitality! Te Hapu was the most stunning place we've seen on our journey.

  • The perfect getaway in paradise

The perfect getaway in paradise. Private, spacious and clean. Gob smacking views abound with lots of walks and exploring. Or chill with a book on the deck. I'd be surprised if there was another property in the region that would beat this. Planning our next visit! We have been to Te Hapu 5 times now. Cheers guys.
