Cottage | Taradale | #19053
The Shed is set in its own private garden with an outdoor area to enjoy, set on a 15 acre seasonal cropping/grazing property. The Shed was previously used as a pack-house, when the farm was run as a full time orchard and the flat attached was staff accommodation and office.
It has everything you need for a stay in the Bay... just bring your choice of food and relax.
Situated half way between Napier and Hastings it is a great location for exploring the Bay and there is plenty of parking space.
The local pub with good pub fare and a relaxed family atmosphere is a 5 minute drive away. Taradale village is a 10 min drive for shopping as well as summer concerts and wineries.
Hawkes Bay's 2 hockey turfs are approx 15mins drive away in each direction.
The Tutaekuri River is handy for both fishing and swimming.
Hawkes Bay cycle trails are all easily accessible... particularly the popular Puketapu loop.
The Shed is set among well established trees, so is cool in summer and has a toasty log fire to keep you warm in the winter.
Please note that seasonal activities in the valley include bird scaring Feb through March and frost fighting in the spring time. Spark has good cell reception but Vodafone can be patchy.
Arrival time is after 4pm unless confirmed prior to arrival and departure time before 11am. Leaving The Shed tidy on departure is appreciated.

A lovely relaxing space outside and in, paved patio and table to eat outdoors, deck to sit out and/or BBQ on. the surroundings are most enjoyable, large trees with plenty of bird life, spring bulbs with lots of colour. The property is handy to the local store and pub but also tucked in the valley close to vines which gives a very restful and quiet stay. We will be back...
