  • A gem! We loved our stay here

A gem! We loved our stay here. It's surrounded by lapping water, esp when the tide's high; it's quiet, peaceful & relaxing. U feel like you're on a boat without the motion! There's a cafe just across the road for yummy coffee & cheese scones. Bliss. But wait there's more: you drive 4 ks down the road, pop on the ferry to enjoy the scrumpiest chicken, leak and mushroom pie (if it's available) at the Boat Shed Cafe! Too much. The Waterline's extra clean & fabulously stocked. 12 stars!

One out of the box in terms of location over inlet and eclectic style. We extended our stay we loved it so much. The Waterline has big and well equipped kitchen, fabulous deck with stupendous views of Hokianga, history, character, laundry, Wifi, Netflix and great selection of reading material. Bach is in central Kohukohu, and although a small village, there was some activity going on late at night (fishing at nearby wharf). Location fine for exploring Far North - we made it to Cape Reinga.
