Great property with amazing views. Very peaceful. Had everything we could need or want. We kept busy by exploring South Cove using the local short tracks, fishing off the wharf, night-time wildlife hunting walks and a day trip to Mansion House and the DoC reserve using the ferry.
We absolutely loved our stay at Kawau Kabin. The bach is superb, with stunning views and cosy bedrooms. We had everything we needed for our stay and made some excellent meals in the kitchen. It was a treat to have wekas and other native birds around the house and we also really enjoyed the walks in the area and being able to transport our luggage on the golf cart! We're all hoping to be able to visit again soon.
What an amazing place to stay! A real piece of paradise on a quiet Island on the edge of the Pacific. This house was so comfortable, incredibly well equipped with high quality fixtures and fittings, well stocked cupboards and the most beautiful views, surely, in the whole of New Zealand (possibly only my opinion)! Everyone should treat themselves at some time in their lives to a stay (short or long) on Kawau and in one of Joans beautiful properties. It couldn't have been more perfect.
