Didn't realize this was literally inside an old concrete silo. It was dank and smelled musty. The clothes "dryer" is just a drying rack which was frustrating because we chose this place to do laundry and wanted an actual dryer. Shower has no shower curtain so water splashes all over the bathroom. Also encountered a small number of large insects roaming the floors.
Yes it is called The Silos as it was formerly Golden Bay Silos, very evident in the photos. While we have a washing machine, we do not have a drier and I apologise if the reason you chose the apartment was to do your laundry at the end of your New Zealand stay. Most guests stay short term and the rack is sufficient. The apartment is super clean as previous guest reviews will attest to. Aotearoa does have a number of moths, spiders etc but that is all part of life in this beautiful country.
Great location to people watch, apartment was very comfortable. Great patio area and good to have own parking space as the wharf area gets busy. Restaurant , bar and fish/chip place all within 1 minutes walk. Stayed a extra night
