Our children loved the farm animals and enjoyed feeding them daily. We enjoyed the ease of staying in a comfortable and clean home, being on a farming property but close enough to town and all the activities in the local area.
Especially great for kids - they loved all the animals. Sam (the host) was fantastic - fresh bread each day, plenty of firewood delivered and let the girls feed the animals. Sam's son, young Kieran (3 years) was a happy hard case little boy which added to the fun. We did a trip to the Waikite Valley thermal pools - highly recommended. Overall, very comfortable, the one (big) bedroom was fine for us - but could be a bit of a challenge for other groups of 6.
