This homestay unit is the smaller of 2 homestay units in the hosts’ large property and is very suitable for a stay of several days for couples, or for longer stays for a single guest. It is centrally located for easy access to Nelson, the Tahunanui beach, Richmond and beyond.
Unit 2 is entered through a private door which is up a set of external steps from the ground level parking area at the front of the property. Leading off from the bedroom there is a small en suite bathroom area which contains a shower, toilet and hand basin.
This unit does not contain its own washing machine as in Unit 1 but arrangements can be made to have your washing done and an iron and ironing board can be borrowed if required. The tv reception is a little bit sporatic and being so highly mounted was a bit difficult to view. However the view of the bach, the scones on arrival and the tip top clean condition the bach was found in, more than made up for it. :)
Hi and many thanks for your helpful comments re the TV reception in Unit 2. We investigated this and then have had a TV technician fit a new aerial and splitter and reset the TV again so that the reception for all 17 channels is now very good. We have also adjusted the angle of the TV to improve the viewing. Best wishes - Geoff
