This is an awesome, well appointed house with all you could need. The kayaks and row boat are a stroll away and great fun. There's games and DVDs for the rainy day too. The kitchen has everything and the chooks provide more eggs than you can eat( the kids love feeding the chickens too) I'm so glad we drove through cyclone Cook to get there!
A lovely, private setting with lots of space, fabulous view from deck and added bonus of access to fresh eggs and vegetables. Fantastic location as close to Takaka, easy to get to many local walks, including nearby Waikoropupu Springs, up to Collingwood for Farewell Spit tour and over to Abel Tasman National park for a beach walk. Note: property can be tricky to find first time, as number is in a group of mailboxes.
Private situation. Comfortable, roomy house. Good outdoor living, Flat lawn suitable for tent. Fabulous location overlooking tidal estuary. There is a point on the estuary reached from public road a short distance from the house - you can swim on the inside of the point when there is sufficient water in the estuary or on the outside of the point in the open sea. The inside of the point is sheltered from the sea breeze. Use of dinghy and kayaks fabulous in estuary for older kids.
This property is perfect. You can do lots here it was great with all the extras, like the kayaks and the bikes. My whole family loved the property I highly recommend here. The eggs from the hens are great and there's a lot of fruit and vegetables grown to use which is great. Nice and peaceful. Much better than any hotel.
