Cottage | Greytown | #30470
Greytown has the most complete Victorian main street in New Zealand and was the first planned inland town. Greytown has become a boutique shopping destination and has some great restaurants and cafes, just over 1 hour drive from Wellington. We are 15min from Martinbourough with an abundance of wineries and olive groves and a great golf course.
Our property is located on Udy Street, one of the prettiest streets in Greytown and is a very popular walking route. There is also a track at the end of our street that takes you through farmland down to the river (we can give you directions to our secret watering hole). Access to the Brambles is down a long driveway lined with olive trees. In a paddock next to the cottage there are sheep & chickens. There will be some of our fresh farm eggs waiting for you on arrival.
We also have a Chocolate Lab ‘Monty’. He’s a big teddy bear and loves to say hello to new visitors, but after that he’ll leave you alone (unless you throw his ball).
The Brambles got it’s name from the wild Blackberries that run along the side of the cottage on the boundary to the orchard, feel free to pick your own when they’re in season

Fabulous setting with indulgent welcoming treats - very comfortable bed and a Nespresso machine that does not disappoint. With the weather not at its best we were more than happy retreating indoors. Apple TV & free WiFi saw to that!!
Lovely little cottage in a beautiful and quiet location. Lots of animals on the property who love to cuddle :) It was great to be greeted by three very happy dogs and waking up to the sound of kunekune pigs foraging in the garden. Highly recommend it.
The Brambles was a lovely, quiet place to stay in a rural setting .There was a really good supply of kitchen utensils, pots, plates etc. The bed was cosy and comfortable. Unfortunately the area at the entrance near the deck was muddy after a lot of rain and it we unavoidably trudged a little inside. It was a little cool although we had the heater going all of the time we were in the cottage. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay.
