Cottage | Greytown | #30470
Our property is a 3 acre lifestyle block located on Udy Street, it's arguably one of the prettiest streets in Greytown and a very popular walking route. Access to the Brambles is down a long driveway lined with olive trees and the property is not visible from the road. On the property we have chickens, sheep and 3 alpacas, we also have Peking Ducks free ranging. There will be some fresh farm eggs waiting for you on arrival.
The Brambles got it’s name from the wild Blackberries that run along the side of the cottage on the boundary to Pinehaven Orchard, feel free to pick your own when they’re in season.
There's a walking track at the end of our street that takes you through farmland and down to the river which is a great way to see some of the countryside. We also have bikes available for you to use
We have a Chocolate Lab called ‘Monty’, a Black Lab called 'Tonka' and a white fluff ball (Japanese Spitz) called 'Nix'. They love to say hello to new visitors, but after that they’ll leave you alone (unless you throw their ball). We also have 2 Ragdoll Cats 'Kalos and Felix' and a couple of Kunekune pigs 'Frank and Louis' that wonder around the place but they're no bother to anyone
Greytown was voted 'NZ's Most Beautiful Small Town 2017' and has the most complete Victorian Main St in NZ. Just over 1 hours drive from Wellington, Greytown has become a Mecca for boutique shopping and has some great restaurants and cafes. We are 15mins from Martinborough with an abundance of wineries and olive groves
So if you're looking for a tranquil rural farm experience that's walking distance to town then we're the place. Relax and enjoy! We hope to see you soon

The Brambles is situated in a lovely rural setting an approx 20 minute walk from the Main Street shops. The cottage has good facilities, including a nespresso maker, Apple TV and a Bluetooth speaker. The cooking facilities are adequate (hobs and a outdoor BBQ) , however there is no oven. Yvonne and Mike are friendly and approachable and the company of their pets made for a enjoyable 4 night stay.
