  • Absolutely amazing

Absolutely amazing. Huge space and wonderful outdoor space. Spent a day hiking Peak Hill, then followed Lyn's directions through the farm property down the river. We were lucky enough to be there while some crutching (shearing) was going on. The workers were so friendly and offered to let all of us (including our three young girls) have a turn with the shears! A very serene place, and so close to CHCH. Highly recommend.

Our stay was great, the weather was wet so we could not use all the outside areas, but we were very comfortable and the wood fire was amazing. All our guests enjoyed the opportunity to sit around the enormous dining table as the living area is perfect for a family gathering. All agreed to return so we can see more of the farm, the river etc.

What a great big property with a wood burner that kept the entire house warm. A wonderful isolated location with an amazing view of the night sky. Unfortunately there was zero wifi for our stay so we were in the dark about important roading info and the fact that Arthur's Pass was closed the following morning. I also needed to clean two of the toilets before we used them... which was unfortunate.

    Owner/manager responds:

I'm at a loss to explain what went wrong here. We pride ourselves in presenting our property in immaculately clean condition. Yes, our rural telecommunications can be difficult in stormy conditions, a situation beyond our control and bathroom windows accidentally left open in wild , windy conditions can cause the toilets below to coat in dust and grit. We regret we happened to be away at the time of your visit. We could have easily attended to these issues for you.
