Very lovely & cosy property. The living/dining room "geometry" is more or less perfect, with comfortable seating facing both a fire and a TV. The views are excellent too, including a couple of sheep in the lawn immediately outside the woolshed. Friendly dogs also. Location excellent for access to Wanaka and the Cordroba skiing area. Very well furnished; nothing lacking. Beds comfortable. Hot water, good pressure.
This is a lovely restored shed in the middle of a working sheep farm near Cardrona. We arrived at night after a delayed flight and found it warm and welcoming. There are two bedrooms (one with two double bunk beds: not ideal for younger children: choose who you love the least for top bunk). The country rustic decor adds to the charm, as does the pet sheep on tourist duty in the shed yard. There is a generous deck and bbq fronting a stunning view for the warmer months. Will rebook
Beautiful space in a beautiful setting. Note that this is a real working farm, not a hobby farm or tourist attraction. You're not going to casually be offered a tour or the chance to tend to the sheep (although as mentioned in the listing, that could be arranged for a fee). The default assumption is that you want privacy and to watch others do the hard work they do every day. A true pleasure to just be at the Woolshed and relax.
