Super-well-provisioned, warm once you get the fire going, exceptionally clean. Comfy beds and lots of fluffy rugs. We enjoyed the peaceful outlook (the driveway is gorgeous in autumn), the projector/screen and the rope swing. The Reikorangi pottery shop/cafe/animal park down the road is really worth a visit - it's like stepping back in time and the tea and scones were wonderful. Thanks Merv and family for a lovely weekend.
This is a wonderful spot tucked away with little cellphone coverage (bonus.) A few minutes from Waikanae proper it is a well-appointed barn-style house set on a working farm, but private. We loved it and will be back. The movie screen, projector, and sound system make for an amazing experience.
