Our beautiful modern 4 bed-roomed house is fully equipped to make your stay in Hanmer Springs comfortable. With a view of the mountains, it offers a peaceful escape from the city of Christchurch which is a 1.5hr drive away. It is ideally suited to be shared by two families.

The house is 2 minutes walk from the golf course and a leisurely 10-12 minute flat walk to the hot pools. It backs onto reserve and has a recently replaced deck and BBQ.

The open plan kitchen/dining room has a dishwasher/fridgefreezer and a table which seats 8. The living room offers Freeview Sky TV/DVD/VHS player and a supply of children's movies for those rainy days. It has a CD player with adaptor for Ipod/phones. The log fire has a heat transfer system for the winter plus additional heaters for bedrooms if needed. There is a fully enclosed garden which overlooks the reserve and we've provided a travel cot and high chair for those younger visitors. The garage has table tennis for any wet days. A washing machine is also available.

The house will sleep 8 people comfortably. Bedding provided but bring own linen.

There is an outside table and shade cloth for the deck so that you can enjoy the fine weather that Hanmer has to offer. House must be left clean - all cleaning materials provided.

Special conditions: House must be left clean at end of stay .No smoking in house or on deck please. Maximum 8 people - additional charges apply over this number. Careful children welcome; no pets. Credit card number or deposit required to confirm booking and to secure against cleaning costs or damage if necessary. No groups under 21yrs old. Arrival not before 2pm on day of arrival; departure by 12.00 on day of departure. Cancellation policy available-30% charged if cancelled within 30 days of arrival date.

    The property was very suitable for the purpose of our weekend away with friends and family. Wanted to clean driveway in front of garage. No fittings on outside taps to fit garden hose.

    I'm glad you found the house worked for your weekend away. I'm not sure why you would want to clean the driveway - we haven't left a hose/fitting out as a previous one was removed and if it's for bikes, I'd prefer if they weren't washed down on the driveway ideally! Perhaps you can email me off line and let me know what the issue was with the driveway? Many thanks.

    We loved this house, especially the log burner which kept us very warm and cosy during our mid-winter stay. The location was perfect and the flat section adjoining the reserve was a bonus for our kids and their friends.

    As for the stay, Well what a wonderful set up you have there. We could not fault it. It was very warm, and very user friendly. Loads of games, as it did rain for Saturday while Christchurch had the big storm. Sunday was perfect, shame we had to leave. Your pricing is very affordable for such a great place and so will definitely look forward to coming back. Enjoyed the location also as a nice walk to town. (5mins)
