Holiday rentals near Marina Taina

The property is VERY well situated in the north of Moorae, about 100m from the supermarket, 150m from the lagoon and about a 400m walk to a roadside reserve where you can access the lagoon to swim. Very clear water and lots of brightly coloured little fish. Plus two cafes for morning coffees, Caramelin for coffee and pastries and Moz Cafe for coffee and sea views. The best part of the property was, for us, the pool and cabana outside as featured in the photos. The kids loved the pool, my wife the cabana for afternoon snoozes. Inside was simple but nice with a relaxed mediterranean feel and colors. The beds were firm but very comfortable. The property is surrounded by a 2m wall all round with a secure sliding gate and plenty of parking in the driveway. Overall a great place. We went to the (flash) Sofitel Resort for a lunch and, while it was great, we preferred our own little mini resort with everything close and the kids immediately outside. Marcel & Sylvie met us on arrival and departure. Both lovely (ex Brittany) french people.

The complex rise early so if your a light sleeper be prepared to be woken by noisy permanents banging doors and clomping along the veranda - the walls are paper thin so it is easy to hear everything- this is a lovely spot tucked down a little side street directly opposite the pharmacy - There was no sign but we recognised the pictures our host was exceptional - The property clean - the pool is shared by other people - The view was fabulous easy to see the whales from the veranda - Not much activity in lagoon - Snorkels and goggles are not provided which is a shame - the curtains are not blackout so daylight is streaming in very early - I would recommend this property

We thoroughly enjoyed our three week stay at Jean Marc’s beach house. We lost count of how many whales we sighted out front of the house, some in really close. We also saw dolphins, schools of fish and stingrays outside the reef. The beach just down the road is sandy, warm clear water and good snorkling. Jean Marc is very helpful and discrete. We would recommend a rental car to access the rest of the island during your stay. Merci, John Marc!
