Holiday rentals near Whanganui Museum

Red bach is such a good set up - separate cosy bedrooms, and cosy, homely shared kitchen living area. It worked so well for our biz group weekend get together. Loved the epic wild beach and estuary, great walks, friendly locals - a weekend wasn't long enough! Terry and Barbara were great to deal with.

Had a very relaxing time here. The apartment is well equipped, very comfortable and in a very scenic spot. Also close to town. Would definitely go back.

Wow what an absolute stunning place. We were definitely not expecting this. Out in the country with a view from our upstairs room out over the valley. Private deck area with Kereru in the trees beside us. Frances even left us with feijoas, homemade muesli, yoghurt bread, milk and spreads which was not expected. We had a wonderful stay at Sunset Escape – Kai Iwi. It’s a cosy, well-maintained property that easily accommodated our group of 14, made up of three families with kids. The house was clean, spacious, and fully equipped with all the amenities we needed.The highlight was definitely the stunning view of the beach and ocean – absolutely perfect for anyone who loves being near the sea. The property felt private and peaceful, with no disturbances from neighboring houses.Overall, it was a great experience, and we’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing beachside escape with family or friends.

Peaceful and the ideal spot to unwind.

Peaceful, quiet, private, and funky. Outdoor bath is a gem. The beds are super comfy. The birdlife is outstanding. There's natives of course, but the peacocks - along with a brash crackle of cockatoos - are outstanding to watch.
