What a fantastic wee cabin to relax in peaceful surroundings. Has everything you need for a wee break away. Enjoyed the short but sweet friendly visits from Dakota a real treat, and loved watching the kererū, definitely coming back.

The location was absolutely stunning. Was beautiful watching the sunset and the family thoroughly enjoyed a spot of fishing.Overall our experience was nothing short of amazing. We cannot recommend Paula and their property highly enough. We will definitely be going back. of fishing

My partner and I absolutely loved our stay at the Coast Bayview Sanctuary in Whitianga. We were lucky enough to be the second guests to stay at the property! The furniture and amenities were curated so beautifully, with a great selection of kitchenware, robes, lotions, candles, body oils and even fresh eggs from the hosts chickens. The fire pit and fire place created a great atmosphere. Such a nice getaway in the coromandel!

We loved our stay sunset cabin. A rustic and beautiful spot to enjoy some down time. A gorgeous outlook in the valley topped with some lovely sunsets and sunrises. Karyn goes the extra mile providing fresh bread, jam, milk and eggs which was much appreciated. So grateful to be able to bring our dog with us. Highly recommend.

Pete's place is a lovely hideaway nestled in beautiful native bush. The house is cute and quirky with amazing views from the deck and bed! Per the description, there are a number of stairs from the car to the house through the bush, so pack lightly (it's not terrible, but you wouldn't want to carry the kitchen sink). There are a few lovely walks to do from the house including down to their local stony beach, and a wonderful sandy beach only 5-10 mins drive away. Bathroom facilities are in immaculate condition, kitchen is well kitted out, and Pete was a wonderful host. We stayed 2 nights, but could have easily stayed 4 or more to really settle in and explore the area.

We were welcomed by Gordon and his lovely wife with some freshly baked cookies and a very warm welcome. The property is absolutely stunning and makes you feel like you're far away from everything with the sound of the river flowing, bird song and surrounded by lush bush, the best part is town is only a 5 min drive away. If you are looking for a place to ground yourself and unwind from city life this is the place to go, it's only a cruisy 3 hour drive from Auckland and the scenery only gets better the closer you get. The cottage is cosy, warm and kitted out with everything you need with cooking facilities, BBQ and super comfy bed. They even went the extra mile with some complimentary beverages not to mention the delicious warm cookies (we turned up just at the right time). We highly recommend staying here 😊 treat yourself!
