Stewart Island houses

Lovely house and very well presented. Very clean and everything you could need. Owner needs to mention steep driveway which we had some trouble with, no tv or wifi on the website. Views were great. Kay

I found this to be a delightful spot. Close walk to town-8-10 min, a bit uphill from the busy part of Oban, but really not far. We didn't rent a vehicle and caught a taxi to the national park (you can call and book). Birds EVERYWHERE. Be prepared for sandflies. The home was very comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. I had beautiful sleeps. The kitchen was well appointed. It was a lovely spot to come home to after adventuring. I think "unique" sounds like a euphemism, but it was really nice and I would happily stay again. My only complaint was that we had so much sunshine that I was too tired to stay up to look for the kiwi. Oh also that I missed out on the fish & chips bc I didn't realize they closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Had a lovely time. Thanks!

We absolutely loved our stay at Halfmoon Haven! Classic bach with lots of character. Around 9pm we wandered down the driveway and heard rustling in the leaves and out jumped a kiwi! Was very inquisitive and spent a lot of time in the garden in Halfmoon Haven. Amazing!!! Will definitely be back!

We stayed at Kereru House for 5 nights and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. House was well set up, though the washing machine was out of order, and provided good accommodation. Excellent location near to the ‘centre’.
