This magic property was perfect for our family group of eleven, ages ranging from 2 1/2 to 79. The spacious and well equipped open-plan living, dining, kitchen area and generous decks meant we could all be together or spread out as needed. Sleeping and ablution quarters downstairs worked perfectly.Host, Mark, communicated well and was exceedingly helpful. The position of Kea Ridge Lodge is spectacular and we all felt relaxed and rejuvenated from our time on the hillside.Our sincere thanks - we're very fortunate to have found this special place.

The photos just don’t do this place justice! We stayed here with a large group over the new years period and the place was fantastic - good outdoor and indoor space, close to the beach, room for dogs and plenty of activities to do. Glen and Carla were awesome hosts and brought around local food daily for us to enjoy - generous and hospitable. We stayed for four days and wished for more time. A beautiful part of New Zealand!

Such an incredible spot. Loved standing on the beach looking at the mountains and then turning 180 degrees and seeing Hector’s dolphins! The house is gorgeous and very well appointed. We wished we could have stayed longer. Thanks also for the unexpected treats!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Pear Orchard Lodge. The place is beautifully set up and thought has been given to what guests will need. We had the whole lodge booked for a family get-together, and it was fantastic to have room for everyone and no 'dud' bedrooms. The kitchen is well set up for catering to a large group, without ever feeling like you are on top of each other, and it was nice to have the large dining table and a serving table. One thing that we agreed would have made it perfect was a comfortable lounge space (particularly for the day we were 'rained in'), but nonetheless it suited us very well. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely loved staying here! It was honestly one of the best holidays in nz we have had - absolute privacy for some music - loved the lake and kayaks ! Also very up to date amenities :) no sign so make sure you use google maps (and trust it) but well worth the drive.

We found this house very suitable for 4 single ladies

The house was perfect for our needs. Plenty of living spaces, outdoor nooks and bedrooms. Close enough to walk into Wanaka, but quiet with beautiful views of the mountains. We had 16 staying and all were happy.
