Whakatane District pet-friendly rentals

Really is pet friendly. My dogs had a grass area to play which was fenced. My dogs are my family and to go to accommodation which understands dogs will not always be perfect was great. Highly recommend.

We highly enjoyed our weeks stay in Ohope beach at this magical rooftop apartment. Photo's don't do justice, it's probably one of the nicest places we have stayed on holiday. Tucked down the best end of the beach for families, we loved our daily 1.5km walk to the local cafe for good coffee. The very unique apartment had everything we expected plus more, the huge rooftop deck provided us with a nice lunchtime spot to watch the surfing, and a great place to play with the kids. Would thoroughly recommend, and would love to come back. We couldn't find a conpendium, aside from instructions on how to use the lift & operate the stove. This could be deliberate to keep things casual which we love but as the house is fully stocked it did make it a little confusing as to what can/can't be used.

3rd time down for 5 days and loved every minute. Fabulous hosts and perfect set up for a weekend or short stay. Spectacular views from the large windows in the bedroom. Relax on the deck and enjoy uninterrupted stunning views. It’s clean, comfortable and safe. Three minute walk to the fabulous white sandy beach that our dog loved as much as we did. Highly recommend.

The View - as you rise up over the snaking driveway that sits between an avocado orchard, Tangaroa greets you with his vast blue expance. Breath taking is an under statement. The Barn - a man cave equipped with all the nesessities for an evening of utter enjoyment. Table tennis, pool, darts or just relax in the ample lounging space. Rustic slabs of timber crafted into barleaners are scattered about to enjoy a beverage upon. Setting - perched high on the cliff tops looking over state highway 2, this whenua is the perfect place to rejuvenate your wairua. Peaceful and private this piece of paradise absolutely calls you back. Outdoor Bath - the crackling firepit radiates heat across, as you bathe under the night sky. Privately nestled in its own corner while you soak listening to the waves break gently onto the shore below. Doggie friendly - being able to have our fur baby Neela join us, meant the world. She played in the long grass, sat and staired out to sea, and with the beach across the way, she frolicked in the waves and ran for miles a long the beach, before retreating back up the hill for a warm outside shower to rinse off all the sand. The owners - warm, welcoming, kind and generous. With the offering of plump organic avocados, the owner welcomed us to their whare. Their graciousness toward us has left an impression.
