The Bach was tidy and clean and had everything we needed. Very handy location, with the beach, the lost Gypsy and Peake’s kitchen just down the road, and central to all of the Catlins.

We are a group of 12 friends who go away together, for a weekend twice a year. The Jewel of the South turned out to be perfect for us all. We had a wonderful time. Matt was very easy to deal with.

The bach had all the mod cons and clean, is prefectly positioned to explore the Catlins or just to chill out. We will happily return for another week once summer is out of the way.

Great location. Loved seeing the sun rise from the deck. Dogs secure when outside. For older persons, please warn about an outside loo. Lovely and cosy, I would love to come back although my husband is not so sure. So many 'paper roads' in the area - maps and GPS!!!! Explored the area towards Gabriel's Gully and back by a different route and found roads no longer exist - except tracks through farms....Wish I knew about fishing....Thank you.

Our first time staying in a tiny home was very enjoyable.Clean & comfortable with friendly helpful hosts.The food in the cafe was delicious with generous servings.Breakfast included was a real bonus.
