Welcome to Fanningstown Castle, a luxurious four-star self-catering property located in Adare, Co. Limerick. Lovingly and sympathetically restored by the Normoyle family, this authentic 12th century Irish castle, is a beautiful home away from home for groups of up to ten people.
Hidden away among dairy farms in the heart of the Golden Vale region, Fanningstown Castle is just a stone’s throw away from Ireland’s prettiest village – Adare – and an easy 40-minute drive from Shannon Airport. Steeped in medieval history, Fanningstown Castle is the ideal place for family vacations, groups of friends wanting to spend a few days together and couples in search of a secluded romantic hideaway. And, if you are planning on tying the knot, Fanningstown Castle is also registered civil wedding venue, perfect for small, intimate ceremonies for up to 8 people but please note that all weddings must be arranged with Mary prior to reserving the castle.

The castle was perfect for our group of ten. Mary was an amazing host with great communication and truly made us feel cozy and comfortable. This castle is beautiful, great kitchen and living room space for us all to gather. Adare is also a great village to eat at close to the location! Would stay again!

Mary was an amazing host! Very attentive and communicated timely with us. She provided groceries and would clean the fireplace for us daily, so she went above and beyond for us. The castle is beautiful and the animals around the property are very cute and nice as well. Highly reccomend Fanningstown Castle!

The location was absolutely amazing far enough from the city, but close enough to the city if you still needed to pick up a few things. Mary was absolutely amazing. Probably the best hostess we have ever had everything at the property was as described. Actually, the description of the property does no justice you have to see it for yourself. You will fall in love.
