Convenient and comfortable property

We had a lovely stay in the cosy Sand Dune apartment. The cosy apartment is well-equipped and very convenient for the main town and for the beach. The instructions for gaining access were clear and easy to follow.

Clean, well positioned, and exactly as described

We booked late as a late summer break for the 2 of us, and just happened to choose a week of great weather that really made our holiday. The apartment is in a great position tucked away in East Looe, and literally a few steps from the beach and harbour. It was very clean & tidy and relatively comfortable for the time that we did spend in there. We spent a lot of time out and about exploring the area, and used the apartment as a base from which to plan and explore. Very convenient having WiFi to be able to plan our trips, and plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance .

Liked: Check-in, communication, location

good location

the property is smaller than it looks, at night time we could hear next door go to the bathroom and even hear them snoring! would probably chose one with a view next time over location could do with a lick of paint outside and a few door repairs

Lovely cosy apartment, ideally suited for couple and within few mins of beach.

Very impressed with cleanliness and comfort of apartment. Steps leading to apartment need care and parking outside not possible with Sand Dune; otherwise everything great. Tucked away down a side street means limited view from windows but also means quiet and sheltered and beach is only minutes away. Looe itself is really pretty and well worth a visit. Would definitely recommend for couples and will hope to return.

Lovely little apartment

The apartment was perfect for the two of us. Comfortable and well stocked. We loved the little touches like towels and toiletries. Perfect location in Looe, tucked away from the “main road” we were able to park easily at the Millpond and paid for the time we needed there by phone. I’d recommend a stay there and we’d happily stay again.

Clean, tidy, caters for everything.

Well organised layout, made best use of space, and very comfortable. Ideal location for everything. Long stay car park at Norman Pearn across the bridge, £38.00 for week, parking place not guaranteed, but, only 15 minute pleasant walk. This location may be a problem during school hols, but ok out of school hols. Please try this place, you will not be disappointed. No, we're not on commission before you ask. As Arnie would say "we'll be back" Thanks Paul, for a great stay. Russ and Bev (Sheffield)

Great little apartment in a superb location.

Close to everything this apartment was ideal. The large bathroom was a bonus rather than just a usual small ensuite. Comfy bed, comfy sofa, warm and cosy for a nice stay during 'the Beast from the East'. Looe was very nice and we enjoyed good food, beer and laughs. We would recommend a visit. Paul the owner was very good at communicating.

Excellent Location, Perfect stay!

My partner and I have very busy lives working extremely hard. We were after a complete escape from life, in idyllic settings. We came across Looe and it was so scenic & had such rustic charm, we knew this was the place. We stumbled upon the Sand Dune Cottage, and this was just what we were after. On arrival we were so impressed with the location. Everything that we wanted to visit in Looe was always just a stones throw away. The restaurant scene is faultless, quality was impeccable and staying so close meant we were both able to enjoy a romantic drink together. The cottage itself was homely and cosy. Kitchen was well equipped. The shower was nice and hot and the bed was very comfy. Everything was clean and it is clear that the cottage is very much looked after and in keeping with the vibe of the town. We also found, not only was it in the perfect location in Looe to the beach/harbour restaurants etc. It was also a fantastic location as a base to explore Cornwall. We had day trips to St Micheal's Mount, The Eden Project, Camel Valley Winery, The Lost Gardens of Heligan (just to name a few) We attempted the walk from Looe to Polperro - a definite must if you enjoy a good walk! This was a fantastic holiday! We would definitely come back and stay again. Thank you for everything and making our stay comfortable. This getaway will remain in our hearts forever, especially as we left Looe, newly engaged. Cannot thank you enough, See you soon

Perfect few days

We really enjoyed our stay at Sand Dune, it's so close to the seafront and is a perfect location for all Looe has to offer. The property was spotless and had everything you need. Owner has been most helpful at all times. The Golden guinea has a great value for money roast dinner and The Sail Loft has 3 course meal for £20 that was fab. If you like shanty music, go along toThe Jolly sailor on Tuesday and Thursday nights, very welcoming locals. Really enjoyed outstay and would recommend to all.

Great little apartment

Very warm, cosy and clean apartment ideally situated for all the Looe amenities. Had a problem with shower not working but emailed Paul and it was fixed within a few hours. Towels, bed linen and even washing up liquid provided. Would have no hesitation in staying again. Only criticism would be that wall between next apartment was pretty thin so could hear neighbours but didn't bother us too much.

We have just got back from a lovely week in Looe. Sand dune is a lovely cosy property, providing everything you need. The location is fantastic!!! Cosy flat in a great location

We stayed in this lovely, clean, cosy apartment in Looe. The flat is well situated, one street back from harbour and 10 steps to the beach. Parking is around a five min walk away and we paid for a weekly ticket £30... but you can park outside the flat to drop bags off. The bed is super comfy and kitchen has everything you need. WIFI in the flat works well and there was some information leaflets and a helpful guest book with advice on what to do, where to visit. Nicest places we visited - walk to polperro, st ives, st mawes, port Isaac, padstow and fowey. Sail loft restaurant in Looe is lovely. Owner of flat is helpful and informative.

What makes this property unique

I have known Cornwall all my life and I chose Looe because:

It feels like a real place with a fishing industry and work outside the tourist and second home business. Most of the homes in Looe are occupied all year round so the pubs are lively on a Friday night and the Fore Street can have a buzz about it on a Saturday morning.
It is possible to arrive in Looe by train.
It not very far inside Cornwall shaving an hour or more off the tail end a long drive from up-country.

I chose this particular property because:

I loved the idea of being so close to the beach.
It was so quiet at night.
I liked the privacy of being one row back from the sea front.
I loved the thick solid construction and the history of the building.
I could see it working well for short Winter breaks.
I felt there was enough to do in the area to keep occupied for a week without using the car.
