A delightful ground floor apartment with terrace overlooking the harbour and out to sea and to the countryside surrounding Looe
The accommodation has a feel of relaxed beachside living and comprises a very stylish open plan living room with dining and kitchen.Flat screen TV, DVD player, Free WIFI. Bedlinen,bath towels and welcome tea/coffee. In a quiet road, just one street up from the harbour, close to shops, pubs, restaurants and beach with directly access to the south west coastal path.

Harbor View

The apartment has a great view and I loved the nautical decor. The only thing missing was a microwave.

Stay in Looe

Perfect location. Holiday accommodation could do with a little refurb. Some of the furniture is a little tired. Would have liked a later check out time.

Disappointing

We had a lovely week. Great location with great views. However the property is in desperate need of some tlc. There was an awful, strong damp smell throughout the property. The smell was so strong that we had to leave widows open throughout the night and all our clothes and the supplied towels had to be rewashed due to the smell. The bed linen was so damp it felt wet. There was damp/mould on the walls which had been painted over. The damp smell was so bad from a cupboard between the lounge and bedroom that we had to roll a towel up and put it across the bottom of the door. We could not put the heating on as the thermostat had be sellotaped over. The toilet flush was broken, as was the bottom of the shower. What makes this more disappointing is that this was bought as a present from our parents. We will not be returning to this property.

Dear John's son, I am glad to read you had a lovely week in Polmear. But am amazed to read your review of the property. I feel that I have been trolled.! I cannot understand why you were not able to put the heating on as there are details in the book and also a call out number for the housekeeper who could have put the heating on if the place felt damp. I believe the toilet flush was changed and the piece of plastic on the bottom of the shower pushed back on. It is a shame you did not contact me at the time if you felt so let down. I have had many 5 star reviews of Polmear over various websites with most people loving their stay there. So I can only apologise that you did not find the apartment up to the standard you expected. A new maintenance company is now in place to sort out any problems which may arise.

Wonderful Apartment

Excellent location for everything, including large council run car park (Millpool) as no immediate parking outside apartment because of narrow streets. Great views of the harbour and the bonus of a patio entrance area. Apartment is clean and well equipped with bath and shower. A wonderful place to stay and experience all that Looe and Cornwall have to offer.

Standard of Cleaning

Property was lovely. Good location with great view.Only complaint was floors needed vacuumed and wiped. Dust and spiders in corners. Patio chairs covered in cobwebs and bottom out of one of them so could not use it..Housekeeper said they knew about it!Charge of £50 a bit steep for standard of cleaning. However enjoyed our stay.

Excellent views

Small property just right for 2 people. Lovely views across the harbour and great location. The downfall is having to pay for parking which cost us£40 for 3 days. The walk to the apartment is very steep but it was not a problem for myself and hubby who are in our 60’s.

Lovely place to stay , comfortable and has everything you need for a good holiday

Fab holiday, everyone is so friendly , lovely shops and restaurants in Looe, great walks and places to visit near by, our apartment POLMEAR was excellent would highly recommend, can’t wait to go back .

Looe hat nichts von seinem Charme verloren

Die Wohnung ist gemütlich und gut eingerichtet. Kleinigkeiten fallen dann bei einem 6tägigen Aufenthalt auf. Die Terrassen Stühle sind wackelig, die Kissen vom Sofa müssten mal gewaschen werden. Ferner sind wir eigentlich nicht betreut worden. Es war wichtig, dass wir das Geld für die zusätzliche Nacht abgeben, aber sonst hat sich niemand die Mühe gemacht, zu fragen ob Alles in Ordnung ist oder ob etwas fehlt. Das ist eher unüblich in England. Durch das unerwartet schöne Wetter hatten wir eine Super Woche.

Looe is a working town so 12 months a year being able to eat, drink and be merry whatever date you book is a positive.

What makes this property unique

The views from Polmear, Harbour view, are wonderful any time of the day. In a lovely quiet location but within easy access to East Looe and the surrounds. Perfect for anyone walking the SW Coastal path
