The town of Llandysul is steeped in history and here you can find a small selection of shops, cafés and pubs as well as a delightful walk leading from the 13th century church through the park running alongside the River Teifi. The renowned Llandysul Paddlers outdoor pursuit centre in the town offers a variety of activities and is a centre of excellence for Canoe Wales. Further afield are the interesting market towns of Newcastle Emlyn and Cardigan, and the larger towns of Carmarthen and Lampeter are all within easy reach.

The spacious galley-style kitchen is perfect for preparing that special meal before retiring to the terrace.
Trewindsor is situated about 20 minutes from some of the most spectacular coastlines in Britain including Cardigan Bay. Many beaches are dog friendly year round if you are bringing your family pet on holiday. Visit delightful New Quay with picturesque houses, pubs and restaurants; the town clings to the sides of the hills rising above the blue waters of Cardigan Bay. Often bottlenose dolphins can be spotted, and in season, dolphin survey boat trips are available from the sheltered harbour, or you can just enjoy the sandy beach, have an ice cream and watch the boats bobbing about.
A little further up the coast the rows of colourful painted Georgian houses in Aberaeron cluster around the stone harbour which is the focal point of the town. Here you will find an array of stylish independent shops and a huge selection of places to eat and drink, from pubs and cafés to high class bistros and restaurants and of course, fish and chips and the famous honey ice cream. Aberaeron hosts a series of events during the season including the Festival of Welsh ponies and cobs, the Cardigan Bay Seafood Festival and Mackerel Festival. Beautiful beaches and iconic harbours, delightful towns and villages framed by the Cambrian Mountains make Ceredigion a delightful area to visit. Beach 12 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 700 yards.

The cottage was spacious and well laid out, with beautiful views across the countryside.
The cottage was spacious and well laid out, with beautiful views across the countryside. Set in a quiet spot, we were still within reach of local towns and the gorgeous coastline. The only room that looked a little bit tired was the bathroom. The owners were just next door and very friendly and helpful. If we were to be really picky, a blind at the kitchen window would be nice, we felt a little bit exposed to view first thing in the morning.

Cottage in need of some TLC.
Cottage in need of some TLC. Bathroom needs updated a lot. Internet wasn't working on arrival and we told owners who said they would report it and let us know however didn't hear back from them and it wasn't resolved by the end of the week which was quite disappointing for looking up activities etc.
