Dunmail House is the ideal holiday home for visiting the Lake District National Park, as you are not far from any of the main routes to take you around the Lakes, and Lake Windermere is only 9 miles away. Other nearby places include Holker Hall, Sizergh Castle, Grizedale Forest and the Lakeland Motor Museum. Kendal, Bowness and Windermere are 30 minutes away.

The limestone outcrop of Humphrey Head and its nature reserve, where the last wolf in England was allegedly seen in 1390, is just under 2 miles away.
