BEAUTIFUL VIEW OF SMOKY MOUNTAINS

Our mountain home is located one mile outside the city limits of Franklin, NC. You have easy access to our house with paved roads and a concrete driveway. This mountain home has it all, beautiful views of the Great Smoky Mountains and is only minutes away from the most beautiful and entertaining parts of Western Carolina, in a secluded mountain estates community. This is our second home so all bath linens, kitchen appliances, etc are included. All you need to bring is your own food.

Our home can comfortably accommodate two families and sleeps 8 people with three bedrooms, fold out sleeping sofa, three full baths, and two living rooms on multiple levels. With family and privacy at the same time, this home is the perfect solution for big family vacations. If you are looking for a mountain retreat or a family vacation, this has it all. Sit on the back deck and enjoy the mountains. Free high speed wireless internet access.

Franklin, North Carolina has it all. If you are in to hiking, white water sports, shopping, or just sitting on the deck and soaking up the view, it is here for you. Our home is located within walking distance of the Bartram Trail and only minutes away from numerous waterfall hiking trails throughout the Great Smoky Mountains, where you can view birds, turkeys, rabbits, and deer in the wild. The waterfalls are incredible and the views breathtaking, and can be viewed from several of the most challenging and beautiful golf courses you will ever play on.

Catch your own mountain trout supper either in the local streams or in the many local stocked trout farms. If antiquing intrigues you, then you are in heaven. There are wonderful shops in Cashiers, Highlands, Cherokee and Dillsboro, along with a great indoor, antique mall at the Whistle Stop in Franklin housing, more than 20 Retail Stores, 60,000 square feet of antiques, 17,000 square feet of hand-made crafts in the Artisans and restaurants.

If you are looking for some adventure, you can try guided kayak, canoeing, or tubing, or white water rafting trips on the Nantahala, Chatooga, Ocoee, or Tuskeegee rivers. You can go horseback riding, pan for gold and gems at nearby Gold City, or try your luck at Harrah’s Casino in nearby Cherokee, where Unto These Hills is performed live in their outdoor theatre nightly during the summer. Just 70 miles away is the gem of the western Carolinas, Asheville, where you can visit the beautiful Biltmore Estate and gardens, known widely as America's Castle. Also, numerous eclectic restaurants located through the Franklin area feature wide varieties of cuisine. Walk along the Little Tennessee River on the Greenway and enjoy the peace and beauty of the area, while viewing a multitude of local flora and fauna.

It's All About the View

If you are coming to the mountains to enjoy the mountains this an amazing place.

The home is everything you would want in a mountain house. If you require big TVs or blazing fast Wifi, this Great home is not for you. If you love amazing mountain views from just about every room in the house, if you love relaxing on the deck and seeing the amazing night stars, or just relaxing and reading a book. This is the place to be. I'm already looking into staying here again as soon as possible!

Well built house with a gorgeous view. We ate out but it appeared that the kitchen had most anything you might need. The driveway was a little tricky for two cars but we managed. Never could get online but who needs WiFi on vacation.

Absolutely Amazing

We chose Franklin NC to get out of the summer heat in FL. The VRBO listing looked too good to be true. After 2 days, I booked it for 4 weeks next year (in stead of the 3 this year). The photos of the views do not do justice to the actual thing. Plus, we ate out on the porch in super pleasant weather almost every day (we ate other places some days).

Pros: -owner is quickly responsive-the outside view and balcony are beautiful and as the listing portrays Negatives:-the inside of the house is VERY musty. I was there for two weeks with all the windows open and the smell didn't leave for the entire 2 weeks. Its very strong.-the inside of the house is NOT set up to enjoy the outside views! Very disappointing. The couch in the living room faces the staircase with the views facing the opposite direction!-the house is setup for 8 guests BUT the kitchen is so small that I see no way to be able to cook for more than two people. There is NO counter space to prepare food!!- I ran a bath in the main bedrooms bathroom. I was in the bath for 2 minutes and all the water had drained out. The plug doesn't work.-BEWARE: if you hope to get amazon they only deliver via the USPostOffice. The house doesn’t have a mailbox! Owner never said anywhere!! ALL my amazon deliveries were returned even though I immediately drove to the post office and tried to pick them up! They wouldn’t let me get them.You have to use this mail delivery if using amazon:(Your name)250 Depot St,General DeliveryFranklin NC 28734 -

Heaven's View is an Accurate Description

Although the property initially seems dated, it becomes a part of the charm as you stay. The view is absolutely stunning. The cabin has everything you need for a relaxing, easy breezy stay. The communication between us and the property owner was impeccable.

Perfect house with 90s flashback vibe

The view was perfection, the house was clean and well kept, and the decor of bird houses and geese brought me right back to early 90s nostalgia. Comfortable beds and couches and plenty of space to spread out. The only negative was the slightly scary "over-the-cliff" driveway entrance, but it is impossible to rival the scenery off that large porch without driving on the edge of cliffs. The best moments were spent having breakfast on the porch enjoying the magnificent Blue Ridge. I 100% will stay here again in the future!

Great place. Beautiful view!

The house is a great older mountain home. Very comfortable. Huge back deck looking at the mountains. Far enough away to see the stars at night but close enough to go to a restaurant or get groceries. This is my 2nd time here. More to come for sure.

Peaceful Vacation

Staying at the property again. The process was easy, all the pictures shows the property exactly like it is, very clean and maintained. Will be requesting stays at the property for years to come. Owner is fanatic to work with and responds back to emails. Took a day to visit Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, did some antique shopping and enjoying wonderful meals around the Franklin area. Highly recommend Fat Buddy’s BBQ ( black eye pea stew is amazing!) Thank you for the opportunity to stay at your beautiful mountain again.
