Angenehmer Aufenthalt in gut ausgestattetem Ferienhäuschen mit schönem Garten, aber nur ganz vorne am Steintisch ein bisschen Meerblick. Wohnen und Schlafen sowie die Küche alles in einem Raum, kleines aber neuwertiges Badezimmer. Faja Grande liegt etwas abgelegen ganz im Westen der Insel, mit einem Mietwagen aber kein Problem. Wir kommen gerne wieder zu Neil, ein prima Gastgeber.

Niedliches Apartment in noch niedlicherem Dorf

Leider nicht so schön wie erhofft. das Apartment an sich ist sehr niedlich eingerichtet. Eine kleine Terrasse und einen Garten, in dem hin und wieder mal die Nachbarshühner vorbeischauen. Wir mussten aber im Laufe der Woche feststellen, dass nicht sehr ordentlich geputzt wurde. An einigen Ecken hingen dicke Spinnenweben inklusive Bewohner, verschiedene Arten von Raupen, Würmern etc. waren unsere Mitbewohner und leider fanden wir auch ein paar cm unter dem Bett einen Gegenstand, den die Vorbesucher wohl vergessen hatten. Außerdem wurde das Bettgestell schon von Mäusen angefressen... auf den ersten Eindruck wirkte alles sauber und ordentlich, aber bei genauerem Hinsehen leider nicht mehr so.. Den komischen fauligen Geruch haben wir leider in der ganzen Woche auch nicht rausbekommen. Positiv: wir kamen Sonntags an und es waren einige grundlegende Sachen schon da. Milch, Knäckebrot Butter und Marmelade erleichterten uns definitiv den ersten Morgen, da der kleine Supermarkt am Sonntag schon fast ausverkauft war. Der Besitzer Neil ist sehr freundlich und total hilfsbereit bei jeder Anfrage. Lage: höchster Punkt des Ortest Zum Supermarkt und in das Dorf den Hügel runter, der Rückweg ist daher sehr anstrengend. Der Hahn des Nachbarn hat uns leider auch jeden Morgen sehr früh geweckt...

Stunning location for a rustic cottage

Stone cottage was modern, yet felt like it was centuries old. Neil was an awesome host. The little gifts he left for us, which included milk, wine, hot cocoa, and more made us understand why his reviews glow. An added bonus was the night-time entertainment provided by the near-by nesting Cory's Shearwaters. They were like little ghosts flitting about. We'd stay here again.

O alojamento é limpo e acolhedor. Jardim exterior cuidado e com vista bonita. Tem tudo o que é necessário para confeccionar refeições. Boa localização na Fajã Grande. O anfitrião é simpático e disponível. Recomendo vivamente.

A cosy, private, clean and unique place

This house was perfect for us! It was an easy walk away to the main town area, but still in a peacefully quiet location. Very clean, lovely green back garden, nice deck for sipping coffee. The kitchen was well set up. The host had left thoughtful supplies and refreshments, cookies, and the cold beer and wine were VERY much appreciated! My friend and I came to Flores to research my great-great-grandfather's birthplace. It was wonderful to stay in a stone house that was probably simlar to where he lived in the 1800's. Thank you! Obrigada!
