Situated in the Lerwick Lanes conservation area this beautifully appointed two bedroom apartment is the perfect base from which to explore this historic town and, beyond, the 100 inhabited and uninhabited islands which together make up Shetland. The apartment is a short stroll through the historic Lodberries area and 5 minutes away from the main shopping area of Commercial Street and the Lerwick Harbour area from where various sightseeing boat trips depart. The town bus service picks up at the Esplanade and serves all points in the town including Lerwick’s two supermarkets, Shetland Museum and Archives, Mareel cinema and arts centre and the Viking Bus depot from which bus services depart to all Shetland’s outlying areas. Commercial Street is also home to the town’s many pubs, cafes and restaurants with a wide variety of dining choices to suit all tastes. The apartment is also a perfect base from which to make the most of all the activities that Shetland’s world renowned festivals of Up Helly Aa, Shetland Folk Festival, Shetland Accordion and Fiddle Festival and Shetland Wool Week have to offer.
The apartment is served by ground level access via a private patio area which leads into a bright and sunny living area with views towards the sea. Parking is available in the adjacent public parking area. The apartment sleeps four in two comfortable bedrooms, one double and one twin, thus making it ideal for families. About the host
Hosted by James and Mandy Phillips

We have lived in Lerwick all our lives and look forward to sharing with you all we know and love about these islands. We have been involved in holiday lettings since 2013 with our first apartment in Edinburgh. We purchased another property in Edinburgh in 2015 and we operated both of these properties successfully until 2022 with excellent reviews from holiday makers. We thought the time was right then to obtain a property in our home town to share with our guests.
Why they chose this property
The property is situated in a quiet but central location in the historic South End of Lerwick and only 400m from the town centre. The apartment provides easy access to all travellers being just a short walk from the airport bus stop and with adjacent parking for car drivers.
What makes this property unique
The apartment is situated in the historic South End of Lerwick, approximately 50m from the sea, with a view towards the island of Bressay which shelters Lerwick Harbour. Round the corner from the apartment is the Lodberrie, an 18th century trading booth made famous by the "Shetland" detective series as the home of DI Jimmy Perez.
