Everything was great. Clean, quiet, 5 min walk to the leaning tower. Street was under construction and a bit tight, but I just followed the flow of the locals and managed just fine. I was even close enough to walk to the terminal. Had a wonderful experience & everything was communicated very well!

We enjoyed the stay at this property. It is in a great location, about a 10 minute walk from Pisa’s main square. There is a cute sitting area outside that is quiet and relaxing. The host uses WhatsApp to communicate, but was very quick to respond and helpful with all questions. The only issue with this property is the parking. Locating a space nearby was challenging. The free parking lot is a 20 minute walk and not feasible for bringing luggage. Street parking is extremely limited and metered during the day.

Has potential to be a really nice stay
I had high hopes for this place from the pictures. Great location and good communication from the host but the place was run down and dirty. Not a little bit, quite a bit. Very little amenities ( which I can overlook) but it was very dirty, didn’t smell clean and many things were broken. The bathroom sink was cracked as was the mirror in the bathroom. The curtains had fallen down and were shoved in a corner. There was food on the floor and ants. I felt as if they forgot to clean after the prior guests. I was disappointed and did not feel comfortable enough to shower there. I was glad to only be there one night. I feel if they kept it cleaner and put more thought into their guests comfort it could be a really nice stay.

Appartement au calme. La literie était confortable.Nous avons apprécié la proximité des sites à visiter et des commerces accessibles à pied.Nous avons trouvé le matériel de cuisine restreint ( tasses, taille de la cafetière, verres, couverts...)

We met our hosts at their office in Pisa, went through a simple check-in process, an explanation of fees and city tax. We were given the keys and could have taken a 5-minute taxi ride to the apartment but since the weather was nice we decided to walk the 1.5 km there. The apartment was easy to find. It was secure behind a common gate that led to a number of apartments.
The apartment itself was immaculately clean. There were quality towels and sheets and the beds were comfortable. Radiator heat throughout made for a very cozy environment within the apartment. It met all expectations.
The location was fantastic being but 500 meters from the Piazza del Duomo.
The neighbor had many restaurants, pizza places, small stores, and bakeries. A Carrefour Express market was a few hundred meters away.
All in all, this was a delightful apartment in a stunningly beautiful town.
We’ve stayed at many VRBO/Homeaway properties, both in the USA and overseas, and never experienced the deplorable situation as with this property. We’ve also travelled all over the world, so we’re not inexperienced travelers.
After flying from California to Rome, then getting a car and driving to Pisa (now very tired), we first had to go to the rental office to get the property keys , after which we would need to drive another 15 minutes through Pisa traffic . The rental person was nice and all looked to be OK. She gave us a data sheet , which included the fact that the rental office would be open from 3-7 if anything went wrong.
After arriving at the property, we were unable to gain entrance to the apartment. Tried adjourning apartments without success. Called both contacts on the data sheet. Got vmails, in Italian; left message on both contacts saying we needed immediate help... it’s now raining in additional to being dark. The neighbor came out and she tried the key (same type kept) to no avail. She called the contacts and left messages in Italian. We went back to the rental office-fighting Saturday night traffic in rain and darkness- and arrived at 5:30...to find it closed (see above notation about it being open from 3-7). Again called contact numbers, and had a local also call to leave a message in Italian. No response.
Finally got an email from Irene that: (1) someone could be at the property In about three hours, and (2) we should have been communicating with her via WhatsApp (Really?????).
At this point we were exhausted and I had lost all faith in her, so we booked ourselves into a hotel for the night - we were only gone to stay one night in Pisa.
The next morning I called HomeAway to complain, and the nice representative said he would reach out to Irene as it was out of their hands. I subsequently reached out to Irene demanding a refund, which she has never even acknowledged.
Bottom line - look elsewhere.
I’m sure Irene will have her own spin on this...you be the judge.
