About this property
Cute Ranch Home in Wine Country
Come enjoy the country life in this cute 1200 square foot original ranch home. It has 2 bedrooms both with queen beds. There is 1 full bath in the hallway. This is a great get away for a relaxing weekend away from it all. The location is close to many wineries and a short drive to San Luis Obispo. The kitchen has the basic essentials to cook a nice bbq dinner on the back patio. There is also a laundry room inside the house. The property is 26 acres and is about 1 mile from the little downtown area of Creston. Creston has a restaurant, post office and a little market. For wine tasters- there is many wineries close by to go visit. In addition the town of Paso Robles and Atascadero is a close 15 minute beautiful drive. If you are lucky- you may see a bald eagle fly overhead. The owners do live on the property, so we are close by if you should need anything.

What a wonderful surprise! We drove in to find chickens scratching about, and a family of deer grazing in the back pasture. The time-worn wagon is the courtyard is a great spot for family pics. My wife and daughter loved petting the horses. In the morning, a flock of sheep grazed by in the back pasture. Beautiful, comfy, and clean (at a great price). Who could ask for more?
We had an awesome visit. It was so quiet and peaceful, and my kids loved seeing the horses and hogs. If you’re looking for a very reasonable, peaceful stay, this location is wonderful.
A rustic retreat. We only stayed one day but we wanted to relax on the porch and also say hi to the neighbor horses. We will have to return.
There is nothing fancy here. It’s like staying next door to a farm. It’s comfy and cute.
We needed a place to stay so we can go check out “Sensorio” which was about 30 minutes away. It was a perfect destination for us and the owners were very nice!
This is our second stay in this home. It is a working ranch with other people who live on the property, but you barely see them. The home is perfect for our family and dogs. This is a wonderful place to stay and we will continue to return!
It was unusually very warm during our visit! It was as helpful with the fans provided. The house was spacious & comfortable. It had everything we needed. The property was fun with chickens in our front yard & horses & pigs in their pens. It was fun staying their.
My only negative review was the awkward trailer house next door. It felt like we were invading their space. A big bush or small fence will go a long way.
Great place for a family!
Amy and Gil were ready to have us on a last minute booking and the place was lovely. It was great to be around the animals on the ranch under starry skies. Seems like there is a lot to do near the property and we wish we could’ve stayed an extra night!
What a great place to stay! Close to Atascadero, Paso Robles, and San Miguel, yet off the beaten path. Check in was easy, owners are on property but far enough away as to feel remote. We enjoyed all the chickens on the property, as well as the horses
Had an amazing stay here. Horses and chickens on the property which was great to wake up to. The house is set off the main road but the property owner gives great direction on how to find the house.
We loved staying here for the weekend. We came because my son is a Cal Poly student and needed a break and getaway. This was perfect for us. Nice and quiet and the house was cozy and had everything we needed to be at home. Loved the open space of property and owners are very nice.
This home is very nice and clean, has everything you need! The horses and the scenery were beautiful. The hosts were very responsive and sweet, would definitely come back again!
We loved the location! This was tucked away but close enough to SLO and wineries. Creston is a cute little town. The property was on a dirt road with amazing surroundings. The animals on the property made the trip so much fun. The horses, pigs, chickens and dogs made a memorable trip for my daughters. We plan on returning! Amy and Gil were amazing host!
Thank you so much to Amy and Gil who have created a welcoming and beautiful oasis on their property. It was a great launching point for us to explore all of SLO County and a lovely retreat to come "home" to at the end of a long day. I especially liked that the beds were comfortable with pillows of all different sizes for the "just-right" sleep! Nice touches like a filtered pitcher for water and a bathrobe on the bathroom door were appreciated. Wifi was seamless and allowed us to get our research done at the start and end of each day. I want to bring more of my family back here in the future!

Why they chose this property
We love the landscape of this property that encompasses 26 acres of beautiful open space. This is home to our 2 big dogs, 1 little dog, chickens, pigs, rabbits and horses. We also live on the property with our 4 children.
What makes this property unique
Beautiful wildflowers in the spring, hear the frogs croak, birds chirp, while only being about 15 minutes from everything- or 1 mile from the ol town of Creston. There is a steak house, post office, market and store, but don't blink- you will drive past it.
