About this property
A two-house villa with breathtaking sea view and private pool and garden
Villa "Ariadne" is a fantastic choice for families and friends who want to spend quality time together, but also value independence.
Ideally located in the quiet hills of Ververonda, the villa sits on 2.5 hectares of mostly landscaped gardens, offering privacy and space, and benefits from a mesmerising view of Porto Heli and the island of Spetses. It comprises two separate houses, which are within the same property, a minute's walk from each other.
The top-hill house has a rustic atmosphere, thanks to its wooden, hand-crafted furniture. It has two bedrooms (one with two single beds and one with a double bed). There is also a kitchen, a bathroom and a living room/dining room with a fireplace, French windows and two sofa-beds that can accommodate additional guests. At the front of the house there is a terrace furnished with a table and chairs, ideal for laid-back mornings. A small barbecue grill can be found at the back.
The poolside house has a more modern feel. The main living area consists of an open white kitchen, a living room with a dining table and - uniquely - a master bedroom. You can wake up in the morning and enjoy a beautiful view of the sea from your bed! There is also a separate bedroom with three single beds. Additional amenities include a washing machine, high speed internet, cable television and a Hi-Fi radio/CD player with an mp3/computer input that connects to the speakers in the terrace, creating a magical atmosphere, particularly at night. In the patio there is a bar, a traditional-style barbecue grill and a private swimming pool, complimented by a long table with chairs, sun loungers, a sofa and two armchairs. Guests have exclusive access to these amenities during their stay.
By car, it takes five minutes to reach the centre of Porto Heli and three minutes to reach the nearest beach.
Small pets that have received basic training and are accustomed to living indoors are welcome.
About Porto Heli:
Porto Heli has become the best kept secret of Peloponnese - a quiet village with beautiful beaches, warm waters and fresh food at every corner. Conveniently located, it is only two and a half hours by car from the Athens International Airport - Eleftherios Venizelos. It is little wonder that some of the most prominent people in Greece have built summer villas in the area.
At the same time, Porto Heli has everything visitors need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, including supermarkets, pharmacies, bars, cafés and shops that sell souvenirs and beach equipment. There are also water sports schools and an open-air cinema that shows the year's blockbusters in their original language. Any facilities not available in Porto Heli can be found in the nearby town of Kranidi (a medical centre, boutiques etc.), which is only a twenty minutes' drive.
The wider region is also wonderful to explore. Delicious seafood can be enjoyed in the village of Koilada. Visitors can explore the seaside town of Ermioni and Nafplio, the first capital of modern Greece, or take a boat to the picturesque islands of Spetses, Hydra and Poros. The ancient theatre of Epidaurus, where high-quality theatre productions of ancient Greek plays are staged every summer, is another must-see.

About the host
Hosted by Ariadne

Καλώς ήρθατε (Welcome)! My name is Ariadne and I love travelling. Having lived in many different parts of the world, I understand what makes a temporary home feel cosy and inviting. My family and I hope to offer to you and your loved ones memories of an unforgettable Greek summer!
Why they chose this property
One day, many years ago, my parents drove up the hills of Ververonda, sat at the spot that would eventually become the patio of the poolside house and looked at the stunning view. They fell immediately in love with this piece of land and soon laid the foundations of what would become "Villa Ariadne". Our family has many fond memories of endless hot summers in this villa and we hope that you will also make lasting memories there!
What makes this property unique
In late afternoon, get a drink, sit next to the pool and enjoy the view as the sun slowly sets behind the mountains, bathing the sea in a deep-orange glow, as another laid-back summer day comes to an end.
