Casa la nuri is located an hour from Madrid, in the town of Utande, a small town in the region of La Alcarria, Guadalajara. The house has capacity for five people. Discover how it is to live in the rural world.
It is spread over three floors. On the ground floor there is the living-dining room and fully equipped kitchen, it has a wood stove with logs to keep it constantly lit. The first floor with a large bedroom with balcony overlooking the street, a double bed, a single sofa bed (to be prepared as required) and a large bathroom with bathtub. And on the second floor another bedroom with fantastic terrace, a double bed, a shower with splendid views of the valley and a very bright toilet.
The house is rehabilitated with bioconstruction criteria, using local materials from the area: mud bricks, stone and wood. Preserving the old floors, the doors, the original beams. The majority of the work done with our hands. Using materials as natural as possible: the insulators are cork, hemp, the paint is tempered for the house to breathe. In addition, the pipes are free of PVC and halogens. We have a commitment to the environment and health.
The water is heated with a solar panel that is complemented in winter with a thermos, the heating is electric and with a wood stove on the ground floor.
Of course without losing comfort, it is very comfortable and flirtatious. It has everything you need to be at ease: refrigerator, stove, washing machine, dishwasher, toaster, towels, linens, wood for the stove ...
We have lived in Utande since 2004 and have opted for life in the countryside, with direct contact with nature and the land. We dream of a living rural world. We believe in sustainable development and we are committed to building a different world. A lot of multitasking keeps us here: Nuria performs graphic design and illustration work, mainly of nature and Curro is an ecological biologist and gardener with extensive knowledge of his environment.
We invite you to discover the charms of this environment, ideal for beautiful walks among kilometers of nature, rich in biodiversity, tinged by the contrast of the seasons and generous in bright dawns and red and fast sunsets.
