Depending on the time of year, Casa Los Jinetes is the ideal place to relax, take in the sun, lay around the pool with a glass of Sangria and a tapa, or being a superb base from which to visit nearby picturesque villages, wonderful historic Moorish cities and other places of outstanding natural beauty, that nearby areas have to offer - or all of them!

House "The Riders" meaning "House of the Horse Riders" is a charming 3 bedroomed country-cottage retreat with its own private swimming pool, set within 2700m2 of grounds, with orange & lemon grove, olive, fig & pomegranate trees, palms and shady elms, flower and shrub gardens and other decorative trees. You'll find us just 20 minutes drive from the beautiful and historic city of Seville in Andalusia, Southern Spain, famous for it's orange tree-lined streets, flamboyant Easter processions, the spectacular April Fair of parading horses, Flamenco and bull fights; the city of Biset's Carmen, Don Juan and The Barber of Seville, to name a few of its famous "residents". Seville airport with cheap flights from many European destinations is just 10 minutes drive away and Seville center only 25 minutes!

House "Los Jinetes" is situated in the private gated community of "Los Jinetes", Carmona, Seville and is just 7 km from Carmona - a beautiful Unesco nominated Moorish town and earlier ancient Roman settlement - and again, only 20 minutes drive from the spectacular capital city of Andalusia: Seville, and just 10 minutes from the airport; offering many cheap flights from a large number of European cities.

The traditionally-built, and recently enlarged and fully refurbished (2018) cottage itself, with a total constructed of 120m2 (1300ft2), is within a plot of 2,700m2 (2/3 acre), surrounded with olive, orange, lemon, pomegranate , fig, palm and other fruit and decorative trees. The cottage is made up of: a very spacious, pitched, play, double height to pitched ceiling, living room with dining area, and includes a wood burning stove for heating and air conditioning for cooling, along with 55 "Smart tv and music playing facilities. There are 3 bedrooms, each with its own independent air conditioning unit, a fully fitted kitchen with gas stove, electric fan-operated oven, fridge-freezer, microwave and dishwasher, and a generous bathroom comprising: bath with overhead shower, basin, bidet & w. c. Hot water is from a solar panel and tank on the roof. From the kitchen, outside, you'll find a beautiful wooden-beamed porch, with large table and chairs for open air dining, which looks onto the tiled swimming pool with sun-bathing terraces around, enclosed by hedges and other bedding plants, for extra privacy. Close to the porch, there is a charcoal BBQ. There is also WiFi in the house that is free of use to guests. The cottage is surrounded with large, leafy elms, giving plenty of shade in the summer, and a variety of other plants, shrubs and trees, in the gardens at the front of the house, either from the porch, or by the very large glazed patio doors in the living room. Between the gardens, either side, there is off-road parking space for up to 2 cars. There is also a small fish pond, with a variety of water plants to be found in one corner of one of the gardens, here. Please note, that neither the pool or pond are fenced and gated, so guests with toddlers and small children will be required to supervise them at all times.

Although The Riders are a very safe community, all windows are secured with fixed metal grills for guests added peace of mind.

At the opposite end of the pool and terraces, to the house, is another small traditionally-built building which is used as a changing room, with its own en suite bathroom with shower cubicle, basin & w. c. and there is an additional outside shower for pool use. There is a washing machine for guests in the changing room, too. Around the pool are a variety of recliners, shades and seats in which to relax and sunbathe. At the front of the house, accessed from the living area by large glazed doors, is another terraced area, overlooking the garden, offering a cooler, shadier place to sit in the afternoon, or to breakfast in the morning sunshine.

Next to the main house, there is a children's play area, which includes a tree house built in one of the Elms, along with a set of 4 swings. The house is ideal for families of four, five, or even six if children are very small, or, equally, for couples sharing. The cottage has been enjoyed by ourselves for the last 16 years with our own children as well as holding parties and BBQ's with friends and family. On the land, we have kept a small allotment area which we have grown many vegetables in its rich soil, such as: Tomatoes, spinach, peppers, chillies, garlic, potatoes, onions, strawberries, pumpkins and squashes, etc. If there is any produce in season available; guests are welcome to sample some.

The gated community of "The Horsemen" forms part of the municipality of Carmona (Seville province), and is completely enclosed with automatic security gates, along with an additional 24-hour, on-site ambulant security. The roads are tarmac surfaced and incorporate pavements and street lighting. It has mains electricity, water and sewage and separate water supply from a community well for irrigation. There is daily rubbish collection from on-site community rubbish containers along with containers for glass recycling.

4 minutes walk away, but still within the community, there is a bar / restaurant and clubhouse with tennis and 5-a-side football court and other facilities, which also organizes outside cinema showings and other events and activities during the summer and over the course of the year. The neighboring properties to our own are fairly quiet and well looked after, and our plot has one of the best settings within "The Horsemen".
