The house is in a nice, green, quiet street with shops and beach nearby. The house has a large fenced garden, which is child-friendly with sandboxes and toys. You can use the bicycles and the car. 3 parking permits and / or garage are available. All bedrooms have running hot and cold water. The house has central heating. Electricity is partly generated with solar panels and solar panels. Pets are not allowed. The rental price includes dune tickets for the nature reserve "Noord-Hollands Duinreservaat". Notes: The large garden is closed by a gate in the alley to the street side. Therefore, small children cannot enter the street immediately. As leisure in bad weather, there are swimming pools in the neighboring village of Bergen and in Alkmaar. Near Egmond there are many recreational opportunities. The cities of Amsterdam (distance 40 km) and Haarlem (35 km) are located near Egmond aan Zee. It is also possible to cycle through the dunes and then take the train to the towns in Castricum.

vriendinnen weekend in Egmond

We hebben heerlijk genoten van ons verblijf in Egmond aan zee! Het huis ligt op loopafstand van het centrum en het strand. De bedden sliepen prima en het huis is erg volledig ingericht. Met 10 personen hadden we ruim voldoende plaats om met elkaar in de huiskamer te verblijven, maar ook om even de rust en ruimte te zoeken als je daar zin in had. Kortom: zeer geslaagd!

Perfect family vacation spot

We rented this house for two weeks. There was more than enough room for all 12 of us (plus 2 babies). We rent a house for our whole family every year, and we never had a house that was better organized, with so much eye for detail. Binders full of materials about things to do in the area and beyond, plus books about the whole of the country of the Netherlands were available. The house is very kid-friendly, with highchairs and cribs, as well as little gates on the top and base of the stairs for safety. The yard is fully enclosed, with lots of toys. Several bikes are present as well. All this in good shape and in working order. There are carts you can load up with chairs and anything else you may want to take to the beach (which is not crowded). The beach is at the end of the street, just a short walk from the house. The main shopping street of the cozy village is just as close. Here you can find many restaurants and a variety of shops, including a supermarket and a bakery, where we bought fresh bread every morning (as well as regularly some of those great Dutch pastries). Last, but not least, the owners are very pleasant and eager to assist you, wherever they can. (We live in the United States and wanted to show our offspring something about living in the Netherlands. Now they all wonder, how on earth could you have ever left there.)
