Had a lovely week in Larch Cottage
Fantastic location overlooking the loch and so quiet. Cottage had everything we needed although information folder could do with an update.
Loved the wood burner.
A lovely cottage set in a stunning location. Very clean and had everything we needed. It’s situated in a stunning setting and was just what we were looking for for a weeks break .
We really enjoyed staying at Larch cottage. Everything we could’ve needed. A stunning setting with spectacular views. Driving along the loch every day was a real joy. The welcome pack was so thoughtful and really special. Would definitely recommend this cottage.

Simply beautiful
Simply stunning views, quiet location, comfortable beds. Loved it!! The house is very nicely decprayed and has all one needs. The view of the rising Sun over the loch were simply stunning. The log burner was very efficient and provided the cosy warmth needed for a cold November day. Can only recommend the property. The owners were extremely helpful and the welcome pack was really appreciated. 10 out of 10

A comfy stay for 6 people and a dog with nice views on a very quiet site. Reasonably equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, induction hob, and a selection of pots and pans. The wood burning stove is cozy, and WiFi/TV all work just fine. Shower has good pressure. Our only minor criticism was the lack of a sponge to do the dishes with, a lack of any bin bags, and a lack of toilet roll. Towels were supplied. There’s a Morrisons 22 minutes away in Dunoon and a premier corner shop 15 minutes away. Firewood is available on site with an honesty box. Would definitely stay here again.

Dog hair
When we arrived at larch cottage, we put our luggage in the downstairs bedroom. We then went in to the living room to sit down, when I got up the back of my clothes were covered in white dog hair. On closer inspection there was dog hair on the coffee table and floor. After we had a look around the cottage to find black dog hair on the downstairs bed. After moving our luggage upstairs I went for a shower to find that the temperature would not change from hot as the lever was broken. I messaged david who came around on the Sunday and was told that he could get a plumber out but never saw one, so had to just have sink washes for the rest of the stay.

great views, nice cottage
The cottage was fine but very small. The condition was okay, some furniture a bit dated. Kitchen equipment was fine. Some things were lacking or provided very sparingly (1 kitchen cloth and 3 dishwater tablets for 2 weeks!). We also had to ask for clean towels for the second week, that was not automatically provided. We couldn't get the coffee machine to work. The owner took it away to get it to work but we never got it back. So some details were not great. However, the views were lovely, it was very peaceful and quiet and the owners were vey friendly. So overall a positive experience.
A wonderful place from which you can make lots of interesting trips!
We loved the view onto the Loch!! Thanks for the nice welcome basket!

Larch Cottage - magical relaxation!
Larch Cottage was wonderful! The cottage was cozy while still being spacious, the fire was great and gave off a lot of heat. We were welcomed with a beautiful basket of eggs, veg, milk, fruit and bread along with a handwritten note. The most incredible part is the view, with a large deck that gives you interrupted views across the water and to the mountains beyond.

Fab Location
Take plenty of logs or buy them from the Jet Garage down the road as the one storage heater in the living area doesn’t provide enough heat to sufficiently heat this area. Even with the log fire going it was still a bit chilly over the Christmas period that I ended up putting the oven on and leaving the door open to heat the open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area.

Lovely cottage but a bit expensive
The cottage is beautifully furnished but we felt it was very expensive for the time of year. Also only a small bag of logs was provided free of charge, any after that was £5. It was very cold in the living room and the heater was not enough to warm the room. The parking is not good as it is just in a field gate which was very muddy, this then got trampled into the house. We loved Loch Long, which was full of wildlife, especially watching the harbour porpoises.

Excellent, only let down by bathroom
Overall the property was great, only let down by the bathroom and dodgy shower. Believe the bathroom and kitchen are being replaced so should be fine going forward.
