About this property
"Old Guest House" - Historic Archipelago villa
Welcome to Köpmanholm in the Stockholm archipelago and this 19th century boarding house. This old hotel building has undergone extensive but gentle refurbishment and can now be rented for holidays, corporate events or family parties. You will have the whole house for yourselves (with a total of 21 beds) including the side building "1812 house" for dinner and entertaining.
This is a house with room for many - with eight bedrooms, dining room, lounge, library and a veranda the house is suitable for groups up to 21 people. Two modern bathrooms, a large modern kitchen and new laundry room let you enjoy the historic atmosphere without compromising on comfort. The garden has large lawns with plenty of space for play and an exciting environment with stairs, trees, rocks, the old soldier's cottage - and the "1812-House" for dinner and socializing of course ... All this creates a nice old-fashioned environment with many pleasant places to have your coffee or evening barbecue. The setting is magical, here on the Furusund Strait the big cruise ships majestically sail by and the view from the house is breathtaking. The house is located in the village of Köpmanholm with the small supermarket / kiosk and the car ferry within sight. The house has a great history with interesting stories about the ship pilots in the 1800s, liquor smuggling during Prohibition period ("The smuggler king" Uno Osterman was born in this house) and the hotel era when the Stockholm nobility enjoyed the archipelago. The history has been observed and documented in the program series "It sits in the walls" in Swedish Television, and may be viewed on the SVT play.
