The house is beautiful. Definitely has the cabin feel with view of the mountains. Plenty of space to spread out. Fun things for everyone to enjoy.
They could update and add some kitchen items. We received only two very small, thin kitchen towels for a week stay. Only received 2 trash bags for a week stay. When you have 6 people and plan to cook everyday, you need more than 2 towels and trash bags. No scissors or spatula. The cooking spoons folded in half when you used them. An upgrade in those would go a long way.
Our main issue was really more with the management company. They need to update their email communication and be more friendly when you call. I called 2 times to be told rudely that the answer to my question was in an email....and it wasn't. Email says "check in begins at 3pm, but in peak times could take longer and your patience is appreciated." When we called at 3:15pm about our check in, the lady rudely said "Check in is 3-5om." I asked, "Where does it mention 5pm?" and she said rudely, "In your email with the rules and regulations!" I reread that email and attachment and no where does it mention 5pm. AND....we didn't get our email that our house was ready to check in until 5:35pm.
When we arrived a little after 6pm, the dishwasher was running. This should have been run and unloaded before new guests arrive. There were also wet towels in the dryer that we discovered two days into our stay when we went to dry some of our own stuff. There was a dirty pan in the oven and three dirty items in the cabinets I had to clean before we could use them. And all the bath towels had a strong mildew smell.
The screened porch has cigarette smoke odor to it, making is less than ideal to enjoy sitting out there. This may be okay as there is an ashtray on the side table out there. The cabin itself didn't smell of smoke.
They have two exterior trash cans for you to put your trash in. There is no city trash pick up for the house. The policy is if you fill those up during your stay, you have to take overflow to the management office's dumpster. I felt this was asking a lot of the customer on vacation. I think they could make it a practice to come by once or twice a week, or upon request and pick up excess trash. They say they just pick up what is there when you check out.
None really kept us from enjoying the space and all it had to offer, but it will make us reconsider any other properties that this same management company services.
