The house had amazing views, and overall, our stay was adequate. However, the property was severely outdated and did not accurately reflect the listing photos, particularly when it came to the outdoor space. The spa was a nice feature and something we enjoyed but the rest was inadequate. The bathrooms appeared to be as clean as they could reasonably be, but they are in serious need of updating. The couches were also clean, but they were so old and worn that they gave the impression of being dirty, and the same was true of the rug. Additionally, the door to the downstairs room with the queen bed was extremely difficult to open.While the views were beautiful and there were some positives, the condition of the home did not meet our expectations based on the listing, and overall, we did not feel the property was worth the amount we paid.

During your entire stay, we did not receive a single complaint or concern from you regarding the condition, cleanliness, furnishings, or accuracy of the property. Had you contacted us with any concerns, particularly regarding the downstairs bedroom door, we would have been happy to address them during your stay. The photographs on our listing accurately represent the home, including its furnishings and overall style. This is an older beach house, and it is priced accordingly. In fact, the nightly rate is intentionally kept lower than many comparable vacation rentals in the Dillon Beach area to reflect the age and style of the home. We also take great pride in the cleanliness of all of our vacation rentals and have a professional cleaning staff that thoroughly prepares each property before every guest's arrival. We appreciate that your review acknowledges that the bathrooms and couches were clean, even though their style and age were not to your personal preference. We certainly understand that every guest has different expectations and preferences when choosing a vacation rental. However, we believe our listing and photographs provide an accurate representation of what guests can expect, and we feel the home's pricing appropriately reflects the property and the experience it offers.

The house was clean, tidy, comfortable and nicely decorated. HOWEVER, this house is in need of much maintenance. The stairs are dry rotted badly and the bath tub has severe mold and mildew inside on bottom of tub and around. We were unable to take baths. The toilet was a low profile (short) one and clogged quite often. One TV worked but no blinds to shut out the sun glare, unable to use except at night. No sink plug in kitchen to do wash dishes. Kitchen is very, very outdated, counter tops and cabinets were NOT sized to fit to each other, problematic when looking into drawers. Maintenance of the exterior was NILL. Windows have no screens so very dangerous for toddler. This could be a very nice house but it's present condition without proper maintenance is going down hill fast, dangerous stairs!

Thank you for your feedback. We were quite surprised by this review, particularly since you did not lodge a single complaint or bring any of these concerns to our attention during your entire stay. Had you contacted us, we would have been happy to address any issues promptly. We take any report of mold very seriously. After receiving your review, we specifically inspected the bathtub and bathroom and did not find any mold as described. We also inspected the exterior stairs and found that they are not rotted or unsafe as claimed in the review. We do acknowledge that this is an older, somewhat dated beach house, and we do not represent it as a newly remodeled property. Its pricing reflects that, and we believe it offers very good value for a clean and comfortable home in Dillon Beach with outstanding ocean views and a wonderful location. We appreciate constructive feedback and continually maintain and improve the property. However, we wish these concerns had been communicated to us during the stay so that we could have investigated them immediately rather than learning about them for the first time in a public review.

Very nice house with great views. A couple things that would have been helpful to know that there is 14 steep steps going up to main floor and we had elderly people with us so not very easy to get them up the stairs. Would not recommend anyone with a walker. There is no lights above the kitchen table so a little dark in the evenings to play cards or when eating. No blinds or curtains on main floor- would have helped with the glare and a little privacy but overall a nice place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The game room and hot tub were enjoyed by all. The views are amazing. The stairs going in were quite steep and as warned, slippery when wet. It would have been nice to have some kind of window coverings for the afternoon sun. I would definitely recommend this property.

The views were definitely the best thing about the house. The photos don’t show how dated the property is. We determined it was like going to Grandma’s house. It was clean, just don’t look too closely at certain things.

Beautiful views!

The four of us really enjoyed our stay and the property is in an excellent location for stunning views. The furniture and overall interior was a bit lackluster compared to the many vacation rentals I have stayed in at Dillon Beach, but I would stay again.

Spectacular view and location

The location of this property is great and the view is spectacular. We enjoyed the hot tub and deck for relaxation. We took long walk on the beach and explored the surrounding areas.
