About this property
Cozy holiday house near the sea in Saaremaa island
In the spring of 2017 Green Key certificate has been awarded to Kärbi holiday house - it proves that high standard environmental requirements are met.
Complex consists of main house and separate sauna building.
The main house (58m2) has two floors. On the ground floor is living-room with fireplace, open plan kitchen and bathroom. On the second floor are two bedrooms and balcony for relaxation with the view towards sea. In bedroom 1 there's 1 double bed, in bedroom 2 two single beds + 2 extra mattresses.
In the sauna-house (30m2) there´s a leisure room with a sofa-bed and washing machine, firewood-heated sauna-room and a shower room.
In the courtyard, there’s a place for open fire and a grill for smoking or grilling. If it's rainy, the pavilion offers a great chance of enjoying proximity to nature.
Comforts: free Wi-Fi, electric light, electric cooking plate, fridge, fireplace, hot/cold water, shower and toilet with floor-heating, microwave oven, TV, radio, washing machine, barbecue.
Bicycles (2) allow you to discover surroundings easily. In June you're likely to see wild orchids blooming in the property.

Among the numerous sights of Saaremaa, several are worth calling special attention to, e.g. Angla windmill hill, Mustjala cliff, bell tower built in the 17Ih century at Kihelkonna, manor house at Loona, ruins of Maasi castle of order, and Mihkli Farm Museum at Viki. The medieval churches of Saaremaa have remarkable archaic architecture, e.g. churches of Pöide and Karja. The oldest of them - the church of Valjala - was built in the 13th century.
The most important tourist sight in the only town of the county, Kuressaare is the bishopric castle dating from the 13lh century.
Saaremaa has very rich flora and fauna. Besides Viidumae and Vilsandi Nature Reserves, there are over two hundred single nature objects under protection - parks, high cliffs, large trees, erratic boulders and unique marshy lowlands. The meteorite crater at Kaali (20 km from the house) is the biggest in Europe and easily approachable for visitors.

About the host
Hosted by Urmas Männa
Me and my family live in Tallinn, but try to spend our time in Saaremaa as often as possible. We love its unique nature and tranquillity.
Why they chose this property
We were seeking for comfortable summerhouse in the middle of nature and close to the sea and were absolutely enchanted by the quietness and beauty of the place when entered to the property for the first time. Now we'd like to share this unique place and surroundings with our guests.
What makes this property unique
Nature sounds, quietness, scent of the sea and pine forest is the best relaxation you can wish from your vacation and still you have all the comforts of the house the city-residence would offer.
The most precious moments with family can be spent in silent and warm summernights sitting around the fireplace and telling stories.
