The perfect dog friendly retreat

Could not recommend this little cottage enough. Spotless throughout with all crockery/appliances you could ever need. Everything’s easy to clean for when you return from a country/seaside walk. Wine, cookies and fresh milk were a thoughtful touch. Would definitely return

Overview

Barn Owl is beautiful with everything you could need if you are not disabled . The shower is terrific but toilet and all seating too low. It would have made an excellent holiday before arthritis set in. The bed was too small. A quilt and linen for the futon could have improved matters. We came home 2 days early as the struggle became too much. The doors out to the private courtyard and the paddock were ideal for the dog.

Many thanks for your constructive review. i will address each point with you if that's ok. We have done all we can to provide access for our guests with mobility issues, as a wheelchair user myself I find the cottage well equipped, very comfortable and easy to move around. The toilet is within the standard height and is ideal to provide access for commode users. We are sorry you found it too low, As with all mobility issues it is impossible to cater for everyone's individual needs but we will always try our best to accommodate our guests. We will endeavor to provide any information on these access requirements when we are asked prior to booking and we also provide many photos in our advertising to ensure our guests are aware of the facilities in place. The bed is a standard size double bed and is advertised as so. With a booking for 2 people we would only normally provide bedding for the double bed unless additional bedding is requested . We are sorry you felt the need to return home early and its a shame you didn't reach out to us during your stay as we may have been able to help with any additional needs. I hope I have explained our point of view and that your stay was still enjoyable. Once again, many thanks for your feedback.
