Sehr gastfreundlich, günstig, unter Einheimischen

Wir wurden sehr gastfreundlich empfangen und auch wieder verabschiedet. Zu Anfang waren hilfreiche Lebensmittel schon in der Wohnung, am Ende bekamen wir typisch kretische Geschenke mit auf den Weg. Wir konnten erkennen, dass das Apartment in sehr frisch renoviertem Zustand war (frisch gestrichen). Die Ausstattung war wie beschrieben. Leider kein WLAN und sonst auch keine Unterhaltungsmedien (TV), aber das wussten wir und wir waren eh' am Strand oder touristisch unterwegs. Es ist ein Schlafzimmer mit großem Doppelbett (2m lang), und ein Wohn-/Schlafraum mit einem kürzeren Doppelbett und einem Einzelbett, beide etwas kürzer (1,9m lang). Ich habe das Doppelbett umgedreht, damit die Füße nicht anstoßen, ist für Kinder aber auf jeden Fall ok. Während des Aufenthalt hatten wir anfangs Probleme mit Stechmücken, bis wir gelernt hatten, wie wir die Wohnung abgedichten konnten (zur Schlucht hin) und wie die Abschreckmittel zu verwenden sind. Am Ende hat es dann gut geklappt. Der Strand in Tsoutsouros hat uns gut gefallen, wir waren fast immer unter einheimischen Griechen. Gerne fahren wir wieder hin.

Beautiful quiet retreat

The property is clean and the owners are kind and generous. If you want to experience real Cretan life, away from all the tourist buzz this is the place. We spent five nights with a young family and it was great. Major places like Herakleion and Hersessonas are less than an hour away. Overall super experience and really impressed by the love, generosity and hospitality of the locals. Highly recommended.
