Lovingly restored and converted from a 200+ year old stable into a comfortable and charming abode, Stable Cottage has lots of original and reclaimed features – thick walls, deep windowsills, exposed stonework and pitch pine floorboards. It is well- furnished, fully equipped and finished to a high standard. There are beautiful views of countryside or coast from every window.

With two bedrooms, sleeping up to 5 people and a light and airy open plan living room with a vaulted ceiling, it is the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring and enjoying our wonderful countryside, historic towns and friendly culture.

Close to Castle Ward National Trust property and Clear Sky Activity Cente, two miles from pretty Strangford village with its car ferry to Portaferry, the Ards Penninsula and Mountstewart NT property. Lovely stretches of beach and countryside close by. Plenty of activities and attractions – St Patrick’s Trail to Downpatrick, Down Museum, St Patrick’s Visitor Centre. Sample local food in the many award- winning restaurants. Drive or take a bus to Newcastle and the beautiful Mourne Mountains. The vibrant city of Belfast is only 50 minutes away, while Dublin City or the North Coast and the Giant’s Causeway are just over two hours’ away by road.
