PORT GRIMAUD – the ‘Venice of Provence’ – is a picturesque marine village which lies about 5 km from both Saint Tropez and Sainte-Maxime.
The colourful houses and apartments are built on peaceful islands, linked by bridges over the waterways and surrounded by gardens. Shops, restaurants and a beautiful sandy beach are easily accessible on foot – your car being left on our allocated parking space nearby. There is a lively twice weekly local market, and a waterbus service around Port Grimaud in high season. Saint Tropez and Sainte-Maxime can be reached by a ferry service around the Gulf.
Port Grimaud has a great attraction for anyone interested in boats and offers a range of water sports. Golf and horse riding are available nearby. It is an excellent centre from which to explore the unspoilt inland areas of Provence, the Massif des Maures, the vineyards and hilltop villages, or the spectacular Gorges du Verdon. There are many beautiful beaches along the coastline and places of interest such as the exotic gardens at Le Rayol Canadelor the old monastery at Chartreuse de la Verne.
APARTMENT DESCRIPTION

A waterside first floor self-catering apartment located in a quiet area on the Ile des Quatre Vents. The apartment has a west facing balcony, which catches the afternoon sun and the evening sunsets, with a beautiful view across the canals to the hills beyond.
The apartment is well equipped and comprises one bedroom with a double bed which can be split into two singles, a living room with a very comfortable double convertible sofa bed, an open plan kitchen with cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave oven and dishwasher, plus a bathroom with shower over the bath. In addition there is a TV with French, British, German and Italian channels, a DVD player, an AppleTV, free WiFi, washing machine, plus table and chairs for dining on the balcony. To keep cool in the hottest months, all windows have shutters and we have a portable air conditioning unit as well. As the apartment faces east/west we are protected from the peak sun during the middle of the day, so can enjoy the early morning sun coming into the bedroom and then the gentler afternoon sun and sunsets on our west facing balcony. For the cooler months we have central heating.
The apartment has a specifically allocated parking place a short walk from the property.
Pets are not usually accepted but feel free to ask. We feel the apartment does not suit very young children so we usually ask for children to be over the age of eight. Please note that whilst previous reviews mention renting our dinghy this is not something we are able to do any more, but there are plenty of boat rental places close by for you to choose.
