This property is the penthouse suite of a five story building on one of the busiest streets in central Rome. The apartment itself is spacious with two large bedrooms with baths on opposite ends of the open living room/dining area. There is also a large patio overlooking this part of Rome. The apartment was clean upon arrival. The kitchen is well appointment with coffee in the cupboard. The description says there's a microwave, but we could not find it. The oven may also serve as a microwave, but there are no instructions and the host would not confirm it.
The main complaint we had was the noise from the street and a large group of seagulls that live on a nearby roof. The southern bedroom and patio are very, very noisy due to constant traffic, honking cars and emergency vehicles from the street below. The noise tones down around 10:30PM but then starts up again by 6AM. The flock of seagulls is also noisy. We quickly learned not to leave any food unattended on the patio as the gulls quickly swooped down and stole the food, even knocking over wine glasses to get at the wine.
The best part of this place is the location. The worst is the constant noise level from the busy street out front.
